Are ball-shaving millennials more likely to excessively defoliate than long-hairs growing since the '70s?

Less leaves, more light; more space, more Budpoints an yield,
Maybe prior you could only fit 8 plants in your space, but now that you heavily defoliate every week you could fit an extra 2 plants in there and not have a stretchy mess

There are leaves in buds, many of them, so yes, buds do use light.
I always defoliate the bottom crap. I don't know if it does anything but make me happy, but I always grow nice buds.
Fan leaves 2/3 up I only remove when they are fully faded. Maybe one here or there before that if it's a jungle and I'm trying to create some airflow.
All lower suckers on mine are gone before flip. Cut and rooted if big enough and composted if they aren’t. If light can’t hit they’re not doing shit.

Yes there’s leaves in buds but if you’ve been on here any length of time you’ve seen the pics. Leaves left only on buds. If a week out? Maybe. I wouldn’t.

If it grows buds that give you a high you like, does it really matter? Everybody has their own way, me....I take just a little off the bottom at first, about 3.5 weeks in I will clear out anything underneath that looks like it wont turn into much. This is 9 days into flower. Less than 2 years growing, not sure if I'm doing best for the plant, but I am having fun, and making medicine. My balls are kinda the same way, not totally shaved clean but not shaggy either. Need some adjustable stands (for my plants not my balls)

Nothing to sell here. Just my sanity and a big "F-U" to capitalism. I do have a strict jar exchange policy though. I'm convinced of defoliation's benefits. But you must read the plant to actually see the advantages. Where and why most avoid the subject. Like everything in life. Is it learned or come natural. I'll be glad when they bottle instinct. LMAO. Try and learn. Photos are very forgiving if in a proper environment and healthy.
Ime jars are gifted rarily, because the folks just dont want to return them.

Pride in buds. Demands proper packaging to preserve integrity of my handy work ...
Here here. There is nothing more rewarding than holding a glass jar filled with the result of months of your labour.

Well ... holding a King Cone filled with it is just as rewarding.

We get into that with our homemade strawberry jam each year ... a few jars don't make their way back home.

And that's why when the dank is doled out, folks get it in Ziplock bags.

Ultimately, it comes down to space. Because I want the most bud per branch/plant growth, super-cropping, LST, selective-defoliation, keeping plants relatively small (leaning toward micro-grow) and encouraging secondary branch growth is my way forward. I'm interested to see how close I can get the LEDs.

Tomorrow, I'm cloning and creating a pheno-selection spreadsheet. I'll probably post a screen-shot of my pheno-selection criteria for my strains (including improved genetics of the same strain) and ask what additional inclusion/exclusion factors I should add. Thanks!
