Can I use aquarium water for watering? Our water is chlorinated

I read somewhere that aquarium water is good due to the fish waste in it. Also, I'm assuming you're talking freshwater tank. Now this is second hand info as I have never actually tried it myself but I believe it's good. As far as the chlorine goes, if it's used water the chlorine should have evaporated by now.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. (probably an unnecessary statement)

You can leave chlorinated water out in a bucket for 24hr with an air pump in it (air pumps so it doesn't go stagnet) and all the chlorine will evaporate from it.

oh and I wouldn't use it if there are fish in that aquarium as they carry parrisites

Well typical thread, ask a question and get two completely different answers. I still think it's good tho. I saw a vid of a hydroponic setup where they had fish actually living in the water. They were growing a bunch of veggies but still the same. I say check the ph and go for it.

I've also seen goldfish in hydro reservoirs, the reasoning being, if the fish thrive, the environment is ideal for plants. I would hardly consider goldfish parasitic.

Be serious - fish parasites are not going to affect plants - any more than you can catch tobacco mosaic virus from smoking.

Just test it and know that the fish waste is a good source of nitrogen. Use it though for sure, start with 1 plant and see if you notice,

fish water is crap dont waste ur time and effort why not use proper nutes

Ive been using freshwater to water my plants out of my 55g planted tank for months and it seems to work well. You have to be careful though. Since my aquarium is planted, I use ferts for it. I cant use the water out of it on days that I fertilize.
