Aquarium rocks for grow medium?

aquarium rocks should be okay for a growing medium in a dwc/aero setup replacing expanded clay right?

I don't really see a reason why they wouldn't... unless the plant roots don't like blue rocks?

should be ok. but make sure there no fungi or mould. youll really have to use anti bat. or somthing like that to clean them

I've used pea-sized aquarium in a dwc and they work just fine.
Anything that is inert and non-metallic that allows root propagation will work.
