Hello guys,
I applyed to register with health canada to grow today.
I called to book a appointment with my doctors 3weeks ago and the only opening was in ealry Dec. So I explained to the reception ledy that I cant wait for 5minths just to get my license. So She helped by finding me anther doctor in the same clinic. I saw the doc today and she prescribed me 1g a day so thats 5 plants (im happy with the prescription). The thing is that the prescription is only 3 months untill expires. I told them that 3 months is not enough time to grow and HC will reject me. The clin said its okay with health canada. HC will accept you and send me a license to grow and they will send a paper saying i need to renew my prescription. They already booked a appointment in Dec to renew my prescription that gives me a month before it expires.
My questions is how long is HC usually takes to reply and is 3 months prescription fine with health canada?

I believe the average wait time is something like 2-4 weeks, but other people on here have actually gone through the process so they can probably say more.

As far as the 3 months, that's something being imposed by medical organizations the doctors belong to, but HC sending out something to enforce the 3 months seems to be something new. Definitely post something if you actually get that sent to you.

When u go see the dr for the renewal explain how unreasonable it is considering 3 months doesn't even get you through a crop.
Not to mention the waste of resources involved in all the paperwork.
My dr agreed and said fine 12 months it is

Good luck

Its also a waste of the doctors precious time too...
Most are so busy that having to hand out prescriptions monthly ...for opioids
now and having to push cbd mmj as the cure all...since the buzz is limited...
When I told my doctor today...that I would probably quit smoking mj..
and vaporize most of mine going forward....since watching my mom gasping for
air..she suggested LP oil.....I politely said no thank you...and that I could make my own
high power cannabinoid oil..with just some food grade 99 % ethanol or iso.
for oh so much cheaper than giving money to the LP system...of greed.
