Anything can be done about Moldy bud?

HI
I had 2 ounces of blueberry (killer nice bud) that was getting a little bit too dry. So I placed a small lemon in the plastic bag but unfortunatelly forgot about it. 1 week later its all mold. NAsty. Can I do anything to save the buds? IF not what about extracting it with butane for some oil? I would hate to have to throw the whole thing away.

other than mold grows fast, so when i get mold on cheese or bread, i cut it off and whatever isnt moldy is fine to munch sooooo i dunno if that necessarily works for bud but good luck homie!

matey i hate to tell you this but when you see mould on cheese it means that the mould has already spread right throughout the inside of it but it is realy hard to see when you cut it there tiny tiny vains that eventualy turn blue and then black ....

as for your bud matey im sorry but i dont think there is anything you could do besids clean it up and sell it to some one who pisses you off only smoked mouldy crap once and gave me the worst fu**ing headache ever like when you smoke unflushed bud

actuuuaaalllllllly, with hard cheese, you only need to cut off 1 inch around the mold and its fine to eat.

other cheese is MADE with mold e.g. Roquefort, blue cheese, Gorgonzola, Stilton, Brie, Camember

google that shit ;]

best way to dry bud is with equal amount of dry ice and bud, put it in a bucket and put the bucket in a freezer, the weed will be ready when the dry ice is completely gone.

when i say ready, i mean ready to smoke or vaccum and store

This way preserves everything you want and need to have great quality

I did the same bloody thing. I make wine and have a safe mold killer (sulfur based) that I use to steralize grape juice before adding the desired strain of yeast ( a type of fungus too) I soaked my buds in that to kill the mold then I water cured the weed too after. It's fine and safe to smoke now, doesn't smell or taste the same as before. Other wise extract the oil if that's too much hassle.

wow.. lots of responses. I placed the moldy buds in the freezer. I hear this type of mold, if it gets into your lungs can really hurt you. So Although I have a vapouriser, I am scared of vapourising it. Ill lok into the sulfur method but i think finally Ill have to butane extract the oil. Its a shame cuz blueberry bud tastes awsome and this was a real good batch and was top kola.

Does anyone know if mold dies in the freezer? I mean when I freezed it did I killed all the mold and what I see is just the dead mold? If so I might be able to clean it up. If not how do I kill the bastards?

mould wont die in the freezer i wouldent think i mean basic cooking states that the freezer doesnt kill bacteria just makes it dormant till it gets to room temp but anything round 63 - 75 degrees celcius for about 5 min should technicaly kill it off

anything at freezing damages the trichomes and ull lose some qaulity u do not wanna freeze ur buds. I would say fuck it and smokeem, just the lemon got mold? or is it on the buds

Years ago we used to think that you would let some stash mold then dry it out. the theory was that the mold concentrated the thc. But ... I never did it.
Mold on cheese is fine, slice of the mold I've done it for years. The blue stuff in bleu cheese is mold.You generally can't kil l mold by freezing it you can't even kill ants. Put those in ice cubes.

I've smoked mouldy weed before...I'm still alive.

C gus, I would have tossed the whole thing a while a go if it was ordinary bud. This was top kola and has Blueberry flavour with large crystals. I have taken it out of freezer a coule of times to deal with it. I see the crystalls and smell the bud and LOVE takes over my senses and I pack it back up and place it back in the freezer as to one day I figure out the technology to bring my buds back to life ))


Just kiddin... Soon Ill just give it to my dog. I love him too and he doesnt give a shit. Hell he sometimes eat shit itself. )

Soon Ill be getting some Nebula Seeds. The ultimate and Ill forget all about the blueberry.

One thing though... dont make the mistake ... mold eaten and inhaled are different things and so if you eat cheese and live, it does not mean you can inhale bud mold and not get sick . I read all around it is quite dangerous. I know.. I have smoke it before too but I was much younger and more resiliant. its not a good idea to smoke moldy weed.

ive smoked 1/2 oz of mouldy weed before, didnt have the best taste but it was ok. Got me high, never really thought about how damaging it could of been to me. Probly wouldnt do that again thinking about it!
