Anyone using Advanced Nutrients full Grandmaster line?

I'm thinking of running the full Advanced Nutrients Grandmaster Line and was looking for opinions from anyone who's used it or is using it. I think it's about $700. so I'm looking for more opinions than the guys trying to sell it to me . I'll be running Promix w/ worm castings for the medium.

I'm using the Fox farm line with the 3 solubles now and it's ok. I just wanted to try something different this year.

Thanks...

Their GRandmaster line is there HIGHER YIELD SYSTEM of nutes. It Guarantees extra Yield as much as 25% from their Grandmaster line.

Personally i think AN have a GREAT MARKETING STRATEGY.

If you want to run a nutrient line, don't add soil amendments it defeats the purpose of having a system. House and Garden is one of the premium nutrient lines in Europe. You should be able to get the entire line for between $400-$500. Advanced is nice but you will see a bigger return in investment with Co2 rather than changing nutrients.

I grew these on the H&G line.

If your using promix/worm castings, your better off with guanos. If you don't want to do that, then use GH line and you'll get better results than AN. I have use AN grandmaster line many times and my best result was on coco medium w/perlite. Don't waste your money on the conni line. I've made a side by side comparison with sensi bloom and there was no difference. You can get the sensi grow & bloom for the price of conni. I find that some of items on the line are not useful. If you really want to use AN, I find that it fits more on hydro/soiless medium. Don't flush your money down the drain and do some research.

AN is garbage i watched my friend lose his whole crop switching to that snake oil nutrient line. this was before the big label switcheroo deal that most of you prolly never even heard of lol. the short version AN had to relabel ALL of their products on shelves because they lied about the garunteed analysis and the NPK that they put on the bottles. AN is a terrible line of nutrients they are overpriced. i have the wholesale book and there is a 100% markup the most out of any line that i have seen. that is why most shops push it so hard because it has the best profit margin. i wouldnt run this shit if i got it for free. AN has an ingenius marketing compaign that is why they are in business they hook all the new growers if you look around on here very very few of the experienced growers use AN if any at all.

I think so too and that's why I asked people who have nothing to gain like the hydro store guys pushing these nutes :) There are four levels from Hobbiest to Grandmaster. Well who wants to be a Hobbiest when you can be an Expert for $200, Professional, well that's a few hundred more all the way up to $1100 msrp.

The more I research it the more 13 different additives don't seem like that way I'm going to go. AN could have combined alot of these nutes into a few supplements if it was in there best interest, but who would pay $1100 for 3 quarts of supplements.

I'd still like to hear more opinions of other lines that you have used. I have only used fox farm for the last few years so I'm really interested in trying something new along side the fox farm.

Thanks for all your responses

You would be surprised at what kind of money people are willing to drop on nutrients. ANs guaranteed 25% yield increase is bullshit, there is no way they can guarantee an increase in your yield because they don't know your controls i.e. air flow, how many plants, what size plants, grower experience, strain yield, CO2 etc... It takes more than nutrients to get big yields. If you really want to use AN get the Sensi Grow A/B, Sensi Bloom A/B, Big Bud and Overdrive. There are "Grand Master" running warehouses that ONLY us Sensi Grow and Sensi Bloom.

Saying someone lost their crop because they switched to AN is like saying someone crashed their car because they changed to a different brand of gasoline.

It's nothing but finding something to blame aside from operator error.

Thousands of people grow every day with AN and get great results, or else they wouldn't be going back to buy more and AN would go out of business. Like they say, it's a poor carpenter that blames the hammer.

Sorry bud, but your friend lost his crop because he screwed it up. It wasn't AN's fault. I use Advanced Nutrients every grow and NEVER had one die on me.

Hugetom, I completely agree! I learned using AN and still use them. I've screwed up a few times, but it was my fault, not AN's.

Current grow is with Autos using AN, and they are beautiful! They have bright white roots (thanks to Voodoo Juice and SensiZym) and at 63 days from seed, the buds are filling in and getting a nice coating of trichomes. IMO, AN is top shelf.

Yep. This guy is doomed to fail like so many others. I'm NOT singling him out but if I had to guess:

1. He's young and gullible,

2. He's a dreamer (and conmen fulfill those dreams),

3. He's new to plant culture, any kind of plants,

4. Is drawn to marketing hype as opposed to learning what makes a plant tick.

Having said that, I hope I'm wrong. At least he's getting other opinions rather than from the sales personnel, however, being that so many people are fall for the line, cannabis websites are not the place to go for non-partisan, objective information. He'll spend $700 and get $7 worth of popcorn buds.

AN is all about one thing and one thing only - marketing.

I've been using techniflora and sugar daddy for almost a year. I use them sparingly because of obvious nute burn issues. The hydro store dude sold them to me chuckleing that it was his least expensive line and not for professional growers. He said it would last me for one grow. that was two grows ago.
Advanced nutrient lines that cost hundreds flies in the face of everything I have learned over a twenty year period about plants in general. I do not treat cannabis any different than I would treat my veggies. If someone can show me factual data to the contrary I will eat my words.

Its easier to buy bottles than it is to learn plant nutrition, thats all thats happening here.

First mistake is believing the hype, second mistake is following the directions on these bottles. I guarantee by week 3 or 4 your plants will start to yellow and have various deficiencies. It just gets worse from there.
