If so I need your help!

Can you take a temperature or the air being pulled off that light?

Example: if your using a cooltube, or an air cooled hood. Can you measure the temperature of the air coming out of that exhaust?

+rep for any takers on this...

thanks in advance

I am trying to debate between a 400w hps and a 600w hps...

the reason i ask for exhaust temps is because i have to exhaust into the large closet my cabinet is in..i want to make sure that i wont heat my huge closet over 90 degrees...causing heat problems...

i dont think it will be an issue...but trying to research as much as possible b4 buying

Awesome very smart to do the research first. I think you should measure your area and decide the size of light you need. if you can open the closet your cabinet is in to let the hot out i think you might be ok. I had to do that before i upgraded to a better room with the adequate venting.

THe closet isnt really sealed, and it's huge! About 15 feet long, and about 4' wide with 8' ceilings! So it would take a lot of heat to raise the temp of the whole room. I will be running the lights @ night and will also open the doors at night.
