I just used a vacum seal machine to vacum pack 4OZ's of train wreck. HOLLY SHIT. that 4 OZ's now looks like it is not even 2 OZ's. has anyone else ever tried one of these. I am wondering if the buds will expand when I release them from the vacum. I bet it made the buds even tighter then before. I hope it did not damage them though.

It depends on who's smelling it. A person won't. But a drugpup will smell it no matter what you do. And actually, probably so could my buddy Tom. He has weedar.

vacuumed packed doesnt smell?
if done properly... wear gloves... change gloves... get no plant matter/resin on the outer side of the package... but yeah

it can make mailing buds (priority mail ALWAYS, of course) quite possible... :blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke:

vacume pack it then add glue and then cover outside in small coffee beans, that will throw the dog off the weed smell, unless maybe he is the best sniffer dog in the world

actually dogs can distinguish between odors. you cant mask smells when it comes to dogs. if you use beans, dryer sheets, and horse shit, the god can differentiate between the smells. we as humans smell all the odors combined, a dog smells the marijuana, the beans, and the horse shit all separate form one another. watch "never get busted" on you tube.

my cousin the cop says layers, but he never seen it thick enough once he finds it.

a dog can wag his tail and the handler can say the dog was hitting on something and the cop searches the car

Ok.. I DID NOT Post this thread on Vacum seal bags for transporting or mailing of weed. I want to know how well they store frozen that way, and how badly is crushes the buds once the bag collapses in on the bud under the vacum. I vacum sealed 4 OZ's and it now looks like it is under 2 oz's.

Now i know there is a better way to store buds then in Vacum sealed freezer bags.. VACUM SEALED TUPPER WEAR TYPE CONTAINERS. You can buy Vacum sealed containers that work with the vacum Machine I bought. These containers will not collapse in on the buds.

The buds will be fine, they will just be compacted when you open it ( they don't expand). The vacum containers work better because the bud stay's full and uncrushed. I like them better in the container but they take up more space in a freezer, wish I had that problem. Good idea either way Vacuum is the way to keep fresh. L8R :peace:

What's wrong? Obviousily I was kidding about my friend, but dogs!? It's true, try it. Now I don't mean your average dog who doesnt care, but a drug sniffer whos been taught will catch it for sure.

Id vacuum the container so the buds dont crush, then use the bag and vacuum that around the container. I heard when using the vacuum sealer containers, the cheaper machines allow air to escape. But sealing the container w/ the bag after should do the trick. Not much more work for a sure seal.

Kbrrq28, not busting your Balls. But a vacum machine is made to make the air escape the container. If the container failed to work correctly, it would not allow the air to escape, it would allow the air to enter the container. Hence the word Vacum. I know you understand this. just wanted to make sure no one got the wrong idea here. I now have the Vacum containers. They work sweet. When they have a vacum inside, the lid is dented down, showing it is under a vacum, if it pops up, I know it lost the vacum. SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Vacuum bags are a great way to F -up all your hard work.

You can however put your dried and cured nuggest in a RIGID tube, then put the riged tube in the vacuum bag, then seal it.

What I do is use 1.3 liter or the 2.35 liter Tighvac, it's the best mary jane storage solution to have come along in many years, and every grower should spend the $15 and at least get one 1.3 liter Tightvac, try it, and I bet you you'll buy another.

I prefer the 1.3 liter solid black ones with the green tops, in this pic below, the 1.3 liter size is the one with the blue top

1.3 liter 7-7/8"tall x 4-1/8"diameter.
Size: 2.35 liter 10-1/4"tall x 4-7/8"diameter

HOLY SHEET!!!! I would have to spend about $150 on them.. I will stick with the vacum seal machine with the Rigid vacum containers. I got the whole set up, with about 2 gallons worth of containers for $70.
