Anyone use SS for SoG clones?

Hey guys, new grower here. I'm 5 weeks in on my first set of girls (all but 2 are auto) and I've been thinking of going to a Sea of Green setup cloning off one or two WW mothers, however I was wondering if anyone else has tried growing their SoG clones in SS and had success. Perhaps starting in 1 gallon until they are bound, then transplant? I've got about 50 gallons of SS to use and I'm not sure how to best go about it. I've got a 5x4x7 room with a 430w HPS for the girls right now, and a pair of 5x4 and 6x5 areas for veg if I get lights for them to do SoG. What size containers would be best for a soil SoG? Would I have to transplant the clones from say a 1gal to a 3-5 gallon or can I root directly into a large pot with SS mixed in the bottom? Mostly worried about burning the ladies, really.

I had a freebie seed of GDP purple dream and grew it to about a foot and a half tall and I realized this plant is growing too fast and tall and will be massive because I would have to veg her for about 10 weeks before I could get her into the bud room. So I left her in the 2 gal pot with just roots origional and threw her in my tester bud room. It's about 18 days in bud and I top dressed with SS about day 12 and she is going strong. I will probably top dress a little more about day 30 if she needs it.
