Ive heard azamax is great for fungus gnats, so i went and bought some and ive been using it for about 3 weeks now and it seems like it slowing the gnat infestation down, but not completely killing them off. my question is, has anyone used azamax for this and if they did what were your results?

Hello. Azamax is not that good for the gnats.
For fungus gnats you want a bacterium called bacillus thurigensis. It is in many products, but the best is Gnatrol WDG (water dispersable granules.)

You can also use this stuff from your local lowes. It is a synthetic nicotine and will kill the larvae of the gnats that are in your soil. It will also protect your plant with systemic protection against some other bugs for a while.. I had gnats for a year and this got them in a day.

I use it and LOVE it. When applied properly (drench soil and spray plants) on the correct schedule, it's quite effective. You must be thorough with the spraying. And follow the correct concentrate amount for your situation........ but trading off and using different products is most effective.

to be effective against fungus gnats, azamax like gnatrol must be used as a drench. spraying the plant and surface of the soil with azamax is only somewhat effective, because it doesn't deal with larvae deep in soil.

Yes I completely illuminated my gnats using a 2 ounces Azamax Drench.
Worked better than anything I have tried.

The bacterium was in effective at best.
