So my dad took my glock 26 a while back and I want it back. I think he hid it at his shop. I'm thinking of buying a simple medal detector to search for it but will his having a lot of medal stuff/medal cabinets/tools at his shop make it difficult to find. I'm thinking it should be in his office or upstairs changing room or ceiling. Any tips? I want my gun.

Yes your idea will work great ...just take your metal detector and it should have a setting for metal ....your guns partially metal so your good ....I'm sure it will distinguish between everything else that's metal in a shop and your gun no problem ....

But I think a mental detector might be more handy in your case good luck

I lived close enough to Arlington that the noise wiped out local signal.

It's a Glock, you need a plastic detector
Yep

as the Glock is made of a polymer a mental detector would be in order.

200$ detector for a 400$ gun? Lol buy a new 26 and he probably wont find out.

Sure you could find a glock with a metal detector as they only have like a 22% polymer mix but you'll be spending money on a metal detector that youll probably get stuck with when he takes it again lmao.
