So last week while doing a slurry test I noticed my ph in soil was 5.2-5.5 . So after asking around in this forum I decided to water with molasses theŃ ph’d to 7.0 ( took a lot of ph up) after giving it to my plants i noticed that 2 of my plants started getting rust spots ( found out because ph fluctuation) so after looking up some info I found dolomite lime as an amendment as a solution. I just got this line from amazon but it’s really fine. I put a little in water and mixed it then checked the ph it went up 3 points (from5-8 ph) now I’m scared to use this shit anybody try this brand to increase soil ph?

Well Im not sure if topdressing is going to help swift in this case. Its also creating different pH levels inside the pot, and different nutrition ratios... lime needs to mixed with and into the soil very well. Cant you just flush with the right solution until you are at your desired values?

pH 7.0 is neutral, if you want to change the acidic milieu go alkaline.
The flush doesnt take away whats IN the soil. But the dissolved H+ will be washed away.
