Anyone try Advanced Nutrients Mother Earth Tea as a Standalone?

Hey everyone!
I'm a big fan of organics, especially in hydroponics. I recently started up a small hydro setup (ebb and flow) and am considering using Advanced Nutrients Mother earth super tea as my Base nutrient. I would be using Nirvana along with it which is pretty much the same thing as liquid karma but other than that it would be used by itself. I would normally go with something like fox farms grow big hydro (not organic) or Botanicare PBP grow (which is supposedly not 100 percent organic) But I wanted to give this stuff a try. but I cant find much info out there on it so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with using it by itself. Any advice is greatly appreciated! bongsmilie

Hey now easy killer. I was just on the AN website and if you click on products then worldwide then click on Mother Earth Tea Grow in the organics. In the long ass description that is on there at the bottom of the page second to last paragraph your answer can be found ....and the answer is YES.
That should oughta help you.:joint::mrgreen:

Hey Tyranabudz, Sorry if I came off as being angry in my previous post I'm not good at showing inflection in text.
Anyway, at the time I posted I already had both Grow and Bloom MEST. I had used it to augment Sensi A&B in soil but had yet to try it as a stand alone. As you may already know (seeing as how we both follow Hydroponic Secrets on youtube) When asked to compare Iguana Juice Vs. MEST for hydro Erik Biksa said IJ would be a better choice for a base nute because it has a bit more calcium among other minerals compared to mother erarth. Plus with twice the application rate as IJ I didn't really want to try it out if it wasn't going to work as well as other base nutes. So I was aware it could be done, I just wanted to see if anyone had tried it first hand. I would really like to use it exclusively as a base not only because its organic and it really does improve flavor, but because its fairly cheap, has a decent NPK and the plants absolutely love it in soil. If it didn't work as well compared to other base nutes I was just going to use PBP instead but I have no reason to believe it absolutely will not work in hydro I just wanted to be real good and sure before I used it.

If you want a gentle organic fertilizer, then Mother Earth is perfect. However, if you want a full strength, robust organic, then perhaps Iguana Juice is a better fit for you.

Really, it's up to you.

And for what it's worth, I've never had a bad experience with Advanced Nutrients, well, besides it being sold out where I'm at since it seems to be so popular.

:lol:

*Update*
I recently tried using MEST in an ebb and flow but to no avail. I had to use 180 ml of the stuff in 7 gallons and all I got were problems. I will say tho that the tea is not to blame. I have both grow and bloom and the grow is a little older than the bloom, I think it got spoiled or contaminated (which would have been my fault) because it used to smell nice, sweet, and fresh. But at the time I was goin to use it it smelled like straight up ammonia. It kinda made me gag. Despite this I still wanted to give it the benefit of the dbout. I ended up only using it for a day or so because my solution was so fucked up. Pitch black water was to be expected but the un lowerable ph however was not. I figured it had a bacterial contamination based on info in an older post I saw, and besides what else will keep your ph above 7.5 no matter how much ph down you add? So I had to flush and clean everything, table, res pumps, etc. and put in some new nutes. So I just used tap water cause I dont have cal mag+ and put in some Pure blend Pro Grow to 400ppm. This stuff went in much cleaner and clearer and my ph went down just right after only 2 ml ph down. It has been working awesome since. I still like ANs organic lineup I want to give em another try next time, Im still using nirvana, aquashield, F1, and Roots Organic Organism XL in the same solution tho and they all work great together, my Ph stays at 5.7 constantly with little or no adjustment after the F1. Thanks for all the feedback!
