I know that a lot of the clubs will sell you AOTA as tangerine kush, but it is a cross for sure....it is a nice in between high that ends up more heady. I heard some say (probably because the taste...that it stands for Afghani....Orange Crush....Tangerine....A....but it sounds too easy to me....

I have also heard that its a cross of Northern lights #5, Pine mountain (or Sonoma Coast) and Sheila but who knows. I am a heavy indica fan, but I have chosen it a few times for the light ending high.

I love this strain, never grown it myself but have a bit. It is some of the most dank smelling but smoothest smokes I have had and has a great kick, very strong.

The stank is very strong, I stuck my nose in the bag and the first thing to hit me was this smells like baby shit and all I could think of was 'up in smoke' - It's Labrador, my dog ate my stash and I had to follow him around with baggies for a couple days! LOL But that smell goes away right away and you get this very pungent aroma and now that tangerines have been mentioned it does kind of have that.

I am very curious about the genetics behind this one.

Right !? I grew this for a few years in from 2008 to 2011 in Arcata.great strain and can be be harvested anywhere from 63 to 67 days.I saw some clementine from Arcata and that looks and smells just like it.that citrus / strong chemical pine-Sol smell. It literally hits the back of your nose like you smelling a chemical and tastes just like it smells.by far one of my top 3 strains I’ve ever grown and have been looking for it ever sense I list my my /genetics when I got busted. It’s a heavy yielded ,good strong sativa like stem structure but with a little bit of bushiness .very lime green nugs and likes to fox tail out if you get the lights to close.hoping to track it down sense I’m growing again.it’s unfortunetly a clone only strain and there’s not a ton of info. Arcata is the first place I would start your hunt .hope this helps brotha
