Anyone SCROGGED their canopy during the stretch?

My girls are healthy, and the right height for switch to flowering. However, I have two corners to fill yet, by training them along the scrog netting. (tank is diagonal for access reasons)

Usually - I wait a few days and then train the tops that have gone too high. Sometimes gently, sometimes with pinch and fold (makes no odds)

I'm thinking, why not switch to 12/12 now and then take advantage of the stretch to accelerate the growth and hence training.

Any downsides? Only real thought is that this may leave the development of some of the smaller tops stunted as the plant will focus on stretching, and not filling out nodes.

With scrog you're supposed to weave it through until the end of the stretch so you just have vertical buds everywhere. You should start flowering when the screen is about half to three quarters full, depending on stretch, so you have enough room.

You should've flipped it before, and make sure you can move the screen up as you need. Its best to hang it on pulleys from the ceiling. By the time they fatten up they'll need additional support at that point you move the screen up gently for the last 10 days or so. Sometimes people just tie strings to the ones that need help instead.
