Rdwc would be the way to climate having to open the root zone to light and potential contamination because you have access to everything from one res and less labor intensive changing the water out.

No problem supporting it, just gets heavy and falls over and out of the hole.

i am almost 4 weeks into 12/12 with 2 inch net pots. support 6 inches about the the top of the tote box and a trellis at around 28". i have a ghost train haze that is almost 40" tall and still stretching.

no problems yet... and we are going to find out.

I have used a modified stinkbud system with only 2" pots for about 5 years now without issue.

I know my 6footers would fall out of the tote with 2" netcups. I've had 12" clones fall out.

With a scrog I think this issue would be avoided

Rare dankness genetics are killer. Grape Ape X GTH sounds INCREDIBLE.
Mines actually GTH X Moonshine Haze.

https://www.rollitup.org/t/harvest-a-pound-every-three-weeks.116859/ There is like a billion page thread on it, it is quasi aero\nft system, a DYI that you can modify to your room or needs pretty easily.

You can check my journal for some pics of the parts I have made and used for that type grow.

Last time I used 2” net pots the roots snapped those little guys to pieces mid grow. I only use 8” net pots in my rdwc anymore. Sad thing is I had one plant last grow blew one of those apart as well.

i hope i have that problem and from what others have told me, i will. we will see how effective my method of supporting and tying them off at 6" above the tub works.

My main stalk was as big around as a 50 cent piece on the plant that busted the 8”. I had to use tin snips to cut it. Even with the tin snips it was a pain in the ass.

I like when that happens. My clones roots pass through easier when it's time for transfer. I use the 2" cut out and with neoprene collars otherwise roots get tangled and make for difficult transfers

I got pics on page one where they worked (still destroyed) and where they fell right through the lid lol

    Great for no veg clones

Not the best cor long veg periods imo

Dude, you have to buy a pair of razor blade
Hose cutters from craftsmen they will cut stalks like butter unless it wont fit in the jaws then you need to give it a few cuts but its so nice
After that id just grab my sawsall :)
