last year i tapped 20 trees, made a gallon of syrup, and with 1 turkey fryer man was i busy,i put all my syrup into pint containers and sold it to my coworkers for 5 bucks a pint.i then took that money and bought more propane to continue boiling.maple syrup is like gold in my state, you can sell it,trade things for it,or just keep it for yourself.

They sell a pint for $22, a quart is $33 and a gallon is now $74!! That's why we call it "liquid gold"

that was the idea...like i said he has about 5 acres, of that 5, 3 acres is covered with trees, i would say about 75% maple. I think it will sell well at my road side produce stand. even if i only net $5 it's $5 i didn't have before

If you are going to tap that many trees, you may want to invest in the tubing system for sap collection. It will save you a huge amount of physical labor when the sap starts flowing.
