Um...FedEx stands for Federal Express, in case you didn't know.
Anything mailed, shipped, or stuck with a stamp falls under federal jurisdiction.

my boy got busted for shipping 3 pounds to his house from cali... think they charged him with a class 3 felony wich is punishable by 2-5 years in prison here... he pleaded out for probation since it was his first charge ever and after it was compleated it got whiped off his record....

overnight delivery is the way to go....

No bro ...they dont stick any stamps on Fed x packages....Both UPS and FEDX are privately owned companies for package delivery ...not owned or run by the government

that sucks bro...how did they get him? did he have his addy on the package? or leave to many bread crumbs

It is all federal if you are shipping, does not matter if it is fedex or ups. Fact is that you are INTERSTATE TRAFFIKING and that is enough. Local authorities have to call in the big fuzz because of that. I know because I worked for UPS in Chicago for several years at the largest shipping hub in the world. Dogs everywhere, packages ran through a machine that broke down molecules in the air to test it for any compounds that are used in bombs, also can check for drugs as well.

Overnight shipping was their specialty in Chicago. You either get lucky or you dont. Saw every type of shipment and method get pulled and busted.

So what if the package is stopped before it leaves the state of origin... is it still considered interstate trafficing if the package never left the state

or consperacy to committ interstate

UPS = United Pot Smokers .... Just send it through them and you will be fine :P

Thats funny shit right there.....I tried to send a friend a 1/4 oz of some shit through UPS...somehow it never even got scanned into the system and the package mysteriously dissapperared

True, I don't see the relevance of Bad Karma's comments. On the other hand, it's been pointed out elsewhere that UPS is unionized and FedEx is not and therefore UPS is less likely to coop with Feds than FedEx. For example it may be difficult or impossible for the feds to get clearance to bring drug sniffing dogs on the warehouse floor. Well, I'm not entirely sure of how difficult that might be for the Feds but there does seem to be an element of truth to it.

Also Fed Ex has popped as the carrier in some mail drug busts and I don't think incidents involving UPS Narcing are as common. There was even a recent RIU post where a guy supposedly shipped something fedex and feels that he was narced by FedEx:

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/405897-help-fedex-gave-my-package.html

I wouldn't take a chance with FedEx but let me be clear: I think shipping marijuana, even well packaged marijuana is risky. Shipping plants, depending on their state could be more risky. What condition will be the plants be in after they are shipped? Will it even be worth it? Well, those are your decisions to make. Proceed carefully.

Dont put your name on the package or the person who is getting it either. send it to the adress and then have the person recieving sit on it for a day before opening. If the police are going to get ya they will come shortly after it arrives. if its unopend the person recieving can deny they knew what it was.... Jo Schmo? idk him the package came to my house. I was planning on returning it to UPS in the morning.
and make sure to wear gloves when handling anything going into the packeag in case they try to find prints.

So a couple years back I did a lot of this.. I had a buddy in cali and he would ship it to me on the regular and never once did anything bad happen! We used Fedex overnight shipping everytime for both ends of the deal.. The main thing you have to think about is how to package it, thats the main way to get ur shipment taken.. definitely have to have it vacuum sealed a few times, my buddy used to put some carbon paper in between one of the layers of packaging as well, he said the scanners cant see through that stuff. He went above and beyong though just to make sure, he also took cds and lined the inside of the box because he said it reflected the xray scanners too.. and to top it all off, everytime he would wrap the whole package in birthday wrapping paper with a bow and a bday card and then put that whole box in a bigger box full of those styrofoam peanuts... sounds like a lot of work but when ur shipping lots its all worth it and we continued to do that for a long time til we quit when we were ahead!

oh and as for the name thing and where we sent it and stuff that got complicated as well.. he actually had a lot of different p.o. boxes underneath different girls names for when i sent him the lute, and i usually had him send it overnight to a different house everytime with a fake name.. usually just really good friends homes, and i would stay there overnight and wait for it to be delivered in the morning.

It can work, but eventually gets found out so I have heard, but that's just what I have heard on the grapevine. I know someone who says he regularly sends single spliff in the post to thank friends with no trouble.a

This is funny and a pretty common misconception these days. Just like your federal reserve is privately owned so is federal express bro!

I have never been bust for doing this and I have never sent anything in the States but in South Africa we used to pay the cost and go same day or at worst overnight.

The key is to realise that the smell will spread given enough time and no matter how many bags or wrappings you put it in they are all porous and the smell will leak given enough time. If at the worst a dog were to ever do a search it's keen sense of smell will detect it quick quick even through barrels of oil, tar, alcohol the lot.

So you are left with the equation of delivery/transit time vs. the amount of containment to deal with.

Good luck bro.
