Anyone identify this?

I went to dig into my big pots for transplant and found this.. some sort of root.

How big of a pot. I’m assuming outdoors right. Looks like a fucked up potato to me.

I am running 45 gallon smart pots, no till and ya outdoors. i have seen it b4 a long time ago but i have no clue.. i was thinking maybe a mushroom. my soil is horse manure compost pro mix an rice hulls. and i did a cover crop of clover so i would assume it came from the manure.

Yea looks like a mushroom now that you mention it wierd looking tho

What was planted in that pot? Looks like a root fungus.

Nothing, i mixed them cooked them then moved them to my grow area and when i went to dig out a spot for my plants found that 4-6 inches down..

It kind of looks like the core from a cabbage. They will survive being buried and sprout like that thing looks like it's trying to do. Could easily get mixed in where the compost was produced.

Mushroom, which one idk but a mushroom.
