Anyone heard of mammoth lights?

I'm in the market for a good led fixture for a roughly 5x6 flower area. Currently running two 600w HPS and have for ages. I've got the itch to try the newer technology. I'd been looking at the fluence lights and hlg 550 v2. I would need a couple hlg550's at 900 a piece. The fluence spyder equivalent to the mammoth 10 bar is about 1400 or higher. These mammoth 10 bars are around 900 a piece and I'd only need one. I'm hesitant to purchase from a company without much info out there. Anyone know anything about them?

It looks like a Chinese made piece of shit. Some other people purchased the same thing on here and had nothing but problems, that model is everywhere in China under different brand names

For a little more info....I'm not using a tent for flower...it's an open room. I don't use scrog/sog but I do use multiple toppings and pruning to grow a very even canopy. I was hoping to go from the 2 600w hps lights to one large led like either a fluence 8-10 bar, a timber fatty, or 2 hlg550 v2's. I ran accross the mammoth doing research.

I didn't know that....thanks for the info. I emailed the people and they replied right away stating they are new company in massachusetts using Samsung diodes and meanwhile drivers....with no reviews I figured too good to be true.

I really don't have the confidence to build my own as everyone suggests so I just want to make sure I get something that will be as good as possible.

I believe HLG will be releasing a new fixture soon that may suit you. If you are going to spend the money you are looking at spending then make sure you purchase the right product, Alot of the DIY stuff isn't really all that complicated and people on here will help you do it right.

Are you talking about the new hlg600? do you have reason to believe it will be worth waiting for rather than a couple hlg 550 v2's?

They keep mentioning a new fixture that they are waiting on patents for, it's probably going to be good. I guess that it's a matter of waiting, I like the gavita and the fluence fixtures personally but they are a bit more expensive, I don't believe that they are overpriced for what they are though. There is no way getting around quality and high performance, price always adds up to be similar. I design lights and although fluence and gavita are in the higher price range they are certainly not a rip off.

Looks like a nice fixture and not too hard. I'm going to reach out to them and see shiping and lead time to the US from australia.
Please let us know what you learn. The cutter site says EX GST, Goods and Services Tax?

Seen these. Sunplix on here sells the same thing. They're everywhere on Ali. Specs are nice if they I'm fact use lm561s. That' a big if though. I haven't seen many reviews on em and I don't have the cash to be the test subject.

I'd look around for reviews. They are sold under different names. If they are in fact using the components they say they are, it's a nice deal.

Also check out the 5x5 rapid setup. 850 USD after discount and I think free shipping. That would be great for your space.

They are rubbish, I have seen them in person when I was at a fair in China late last year, I have spoken with 2 people that have purchased them that are in this forum and one of them threw theirs out it was so bad. Not sure what the other did with them. Don't buy that light is my recommendation.

I can't find reviews anywhere. Their support staff sent me copies of emails with email addresses hidden that were supposedly happy customers. I'm with you I can't be their test dummy. I offered to do a full grow journal comparing to the couple journals I've done with the 600w hps's for a discount but no answer yet.

That's probably wise. You have many other good options out there.

Ive seen a company called hortibloom around here who have some pretty fantastic prices. Do your research there too though as I can't say I have any experience with em. Still, they are a paid advertiser and they have a bit more of a track record.

I can tell you anything from Rapid, HLG, BC Blondes, Atreum, Cutter and Timber is legit though.

Which kit are you speaking of at rapid....the chilled logic for 5x5 or the one with the Cree cobs?
I like the pucks. They use lm301b diodes so the same as the newest HLGs. Nothing wrong with the crees but they're a bit long in the tooth these days in comparison.

I have a 2x4 that I wanted to test out. Love it. Gonna buy another and the substrate to go with it.

They somehow have a great shipping rate to US. You'll be hard pressed to find a deal better than that. T-slot frame is Fucking cool. you'll love it. Unlike the Hlg this kit has individual heatsinks and they can be independently moved on the rails
