Hey guys I’m about week 5 of bud and starting to get a lot of yellows, I’m wondering if any of you have experience with feeding N that late in bud and how it went? I’ve always kinda thought it’s not good to feed N during bud but interested to hear what you all have to say ? Should I ride out the yellows... or give em a shot of N?

I lower my N from Veg to Flower but don’t cut it. I also topdressed two weeks ago about 2-3 inches of Ocean Forest. I use MaxSea and my veg is 16-16-16 and flower is 3-20-20. I don’t always feed full strength. I’ll stop feeding nutes 3 weeks before harvest. I’ve been growing for a good 15+ years. This works for me because I have it dialed in and I pay close attention to the plants.

I use max sea bloom also, been using it for a few years and think it’s great. I think I’ll give them a small shot of N for now

I used to use MaxSea, but I now use Sea Grow because it's virtually the same product, plus Magnesium, which MaxSea doesn't have, and it's cheaper.

I want to see fan leaves yellowing from the bottom of the plant upwards. This means I am not feeding too much nitrogen in flower. The plant uses the stored nitrogen in the fan leaves, causing them to fade and then die off. I want to see this in late flower. If I have timed things right with my bloom feed then it won't start happening too soon. If it does start happening too soon for my liking then I can give her a foliar feed with some fish emulsion to give her a bump of N without putting more in the root zone that may last too long for my liking.

This is the first question I’ve asked cause I’ve never used nitrogen in flowering, I probably grow better weed than your salty bitch ass anyway lol

Plants use nitrogen during flowering. You do not want to cut it out completely. Flowers still need some nitrogen to grow. Completely starving the plant of nitrogen and making it cannibalize itself can reduce yield.

You can also do a foliar with a weak calcium nitrate solution as well if you're not worried about being organic.
