Anyone ever grew auto skunk or no/big bud autos? I'm waiting for some to come from ossc and I'm wondering how they did for any of you out there that may have grown them...

Personally I didnt work with those strains. As far as I know autos are easy to grow, your final yield will depend on your overall setup most importantly on your light setup.

Expect around 0.5g / W (real draw)

Maybe autos aren't all they're cracked up to be

MY 2¢ ..... Everyone got their own methods , but I try to it simple.

Start seeds in final container - 3 or 5 gallon. I have also gotten some nice plants in 1 gallon grow bags .
Breeder flowering estimates are just that " estimates " , I find running autos longer they get better. Most autos start tapping out ( end of life ) UP TO DAY 90. However there are some AUTOS that go past ( Sativa Dom for example. ).

If you plan it right , you can harvest EVERY 2-3 weeks by starting replacements when your current autos PREFLOWER ( about day 30 ish ...... ) , so new autos will begin seedling and vegging while the others flower. You can easily get 4 foot plants ( strain specific ) indoors. There are many good auto breeders out there.

Depending on your medium choice ( soil ) you can start an auto on water only for up to 5 weeks with most premium soils ( like Fox Farm Ocean Forest ). It can be that simple. By the beginning of 2nd week of flower you START bloom nutes. Others have their own spin on this. I use TAP WATER - No RO , NO DISTILLED , NO UNICORN PISS.

Just PH @6.5 ( for soil ) both watering and when you start feed.

Light Schedule : I do 18/6 , some go 20/4 -24/0 . I do it to give my light rigs a break .
I do perpetual grows as stated above , some vegging , some flowering.

That is the number one reason I prefer AUTOS over photos ( I do grow them too ).
I can keep both veg and flowering plants under SAME LIGHT FOR SAME SCHEDULE , no changing shit. You want to start and finish during same light schedule, there is no reason to flip to 12/12.

There is tons more info .... But gives some ideas to play with.
You can reach out anytime.

Peace.
