How come there is never time to do it right the first time but there is always time to go back and fix it. This is a recipe for disaster.

Don't use the cords bro.Do it right the first time and be done with it.Fuck around with the extension cords and you might not get a chance to fix it.

which is why im asking so many questions!!! i can't use a SINGLE extension cord with ONE 1000watt + my pc on it? or if i plug the Ballast into the wall.. the other socket (2 sockets for common household eletricty) can i put an extension cord into that socket but use the top socket for the ballast? not sure how this all works man, and im very nervous about it lol this a weed forum im paranoid not that uncommon lol help!~!!

I did not build that light, I do not work for HTG, though I do buy from them sometimes, they have some nice stuff.

a ten gauge cord would work-
assuming you weren't running anything else on the circuit. just a thousand lamp and a pedestal fan. continuous duty rating is 125% of actual load. so a 15A breaker wont' run 15 all the time(more than 6 hours).
upping the voltage to 240V cuts the amps in half. meaning you can now run your 1000W lamp on smaller wire. draw is 10A@120V, and 5A@240V. get it?
get yourself a piece of 6 gauge 4 wire(so you can pick up the common for 120V circuits fromt he same feed) and run from you box to subpanel. for a 50 dollar 100A panel, and 200 or so worth of wire you could run an army of shit.

hey man you seem to know you shit.. im using a digital ballast, but what did you say i need... a certain type of special extension cord? some type of link would surely help
i cannot use 240v my ballast can't even if i wanted too... so once again for my setup i have a regular standard 2 port eletricty outlet.. i want the top one for the ballast... the bottom one for an extension cord w/ my PC plugged in and a Fan... what can i buy, cannot make much changes to the eletricty etc, hope you understand and can help!

First thing you need to do is go out to the breaker box.. and figure else what is running on the circuit your gonna use for your light.. Tell us what breakers you have.. normally 15 or 20amp . If your lucky you will have 2 different circuits/ breakers feeding that room.. SO go out to the box and report to us what you find on the same circuit as the grow room..

i found one of the 1k lumi ballasts on amazon for $250, free shipping, sounds just like the ballast that you're wanting to trade for.. sounds like you're trading way too much shit imho..

he was selling it for 215 i know its not worth that much either is a ps3 rofl... gamestop offered LESS than 80$ for it... one guy called me crazy when i wanted to trade it for his 600watt lmfao... ps3's used are like 150 lol
