The name he used was actually Dan Cooper! There is no record of a B in his name. It just sounded catchy.

I remember when some of the money was found by a kid on a riverbank in WA, many years later. SNL did a gag about it.

I had to explain DB Cooper to a mid 20s girl a few weeks ago. Which led to going through the wiki and details. DB got put on her "What a guy" list. You have to admit DB had some brass balls. I seriously hope the dude lived and got to enjoy the cash.
