Ya.
-Get a fan and some sort of ventilation in there,
-Keep your light close to your plants without burning them.
-Section off an area with reflective materials so you dont waste your light.
-Get an oscillator on your plants or light.
-Put plastic or tarp underneath your grow area.
-Buy indoor soils that are not stacked in a parking lot.
-Test your areas ph and monitor accordingly.
-Keep your temps as constant as you can.
-Keep track of your humidity and temps with a hygrometer.
-Get your plants some form of open air. Valuline centrifugal fans are the bomb.
-Get plant saucers for under your pots if your doing soil

right now the seedlings and clone are in a 6 ft cabinet.... turned on its side so no light escapes it...i havent got a fan yet but pickin one up today, whats the plastic for? i been using miracle grow with moisture control and they seem to be healthy as can be havent tested my soil yet but i think its fine im sure the plant would tell me if something was wrong right? and the temp is between 75 and 85 at all times it stays a cool 70 in my house without the air runnin. what you mean by open air?

Air that doesnt come from your house like an open window or a chimney.

and the plastic is to catch any residual water in your area before it turns to mold or absorbs into your pots or framework. It doesnt let it escape so you can catch it all with a rag and keep a stagnate free environment.

Consider a hydro setup. You can set up a top drip or ebb and flow system for under $50. You already have the lights which is the most expensive. By 2-1/2 weeks you would be near flowering if you wished. Soil cant compete with the growth rate of hydro. Learn how to clone (if you dont already) and take clones of those clones to keep a perpetual supply. Kick back, fire up something green and enjoy your hobby.

ebb and flow.pngThis is the basics of ebb and flow you can find cheap reservoirs at lowes or home depot and buying a concrete mixing tub and a rubber maid tote. Its hard and not as effective trying to find the fittings though. Id recommend you go to a hydroponics store and ask for the fill drain fittings. heres a cheesy schematic to explian the basics

Be happy to!

As Hoag says- concrete mixing tub from Home Depot( get the sturdy one that wont bow with the weight of your pots filled with hydroton!) I use the big one for my table and the smaller one for my res.

300-400 GPH pump.

10 feet black 1/2 inch tubing.

1/2" barbed T.

Drip lines and stakes. (I get these at a local hydro store cheap) Also get the tool that pokes a hole in the 1/2 inch line so you can insert the drip lines.

1 or 2 gallon net pots.

Bag of hydroton.

Nutrients.

This is the basic set up. You can tweak it as you go. Ill post some pics of my system soon so that you can see how everything fits together.

Also a digital timer. I water my girls for 15 minutes every two hours.

A regular cheap timer for your lights.

Cool, I was just waiting to see if you were interested in the pics before i wasted my time posting them. Yes, the growth is extremely vigorous and the system is easy to maintan once you get it up and running. How many plants you plan on growing?

Allright, finally. Now how it works: I have a 396 GPH pump that pumps the water up from the res through the 1/2 black tubing then through the small lines into each pot filled with hydroton. I dont restrict the flow at all. My table has 1/8 holes in it that drain right into the res. I water for 15 minutes every two hours. Pretty simple and works great. Any questions?

The PVC is just a homemade table that I made to sit the tub on that holds the plants. It is not needed, in fact a friend has the exact same setup but just sits the tub directly on top of the res. This may even be better as no light can get to the res. I am able to keep my water temps cool though and have not had a single algae or root problem. If you can keep your room temps cool (below 80) you shouldnt have a problem either. Also one thing I forgot to mention in the inventory list is an airstone for your res and and air pump (in the aquarium section at walmart or meijer). This just helps oxygenate your water and keeps the nutrients mixed well.

idk maybe like 4 or 5.....
I grew four bushes in one of these tubs as you can see in one of the pics. Those plants recently went to the flower room and replaced with new clones. You could easily grow four nice plants in one of these systems.

I've been telling you this from the beginning bro .....Like I said get 2 , 3-5 gallon buckets(2 to keep it simple being it's your first hydro set up) for a RDWC or DWC . Your are a beginner with growing ,for beginners soil would be their best bet but you got me helping you and I know a thing or 2 about DWC. I did a few Sour Diesel from clones and my girls turned out amazing! The biggest dis-advantage for going the DWC route against soil would be if the power went out in lets say a storm... there is no way to get oxygen to those roots!!! . UNLESS one came up with a "battery back up" or something along those lines.
