i can't think of many things that weed doesn't make better.

being sat still waiting for hours at a time sober sounds pretty soul destroying to me, not knocking it i think there are worse hobbys.

i like seafishing but i get the feeling you are talking about camping by a lake all night waiting for a carp to bite so you can reel it in and throw it back.

Love me some fishing! Back in NY I had my own fishing spot that no one except a few friends knew about. I really miss that now that I've moved. There was ahuge pond in the middle if nno where we named the stump lot. Lots of stumps growing out of the pond, I think it used to be woods or something. killer bass! We used to bring a john boat with a trollin motor and putter around and smoke some bowls and have a couple beers. Most relaxing times I think I've ever had. I really need to find a new spot out here that I can call my own.

In my younger days, I was out alone, had slept streamside and was fishing downstream back to permanent camp the next day. Had a flask of bourbon with me and some nice Maui. Had a great buzz going and had caught a half dozen nice bass, which I had on a stringer. Stopped at one point and smoked up again, had a few shoots of bourbon and went back to the task. I had taken the stringer off my belt and secured it streamside with a rock, allowing the fish to still be in the water. I was pretty wasted when all of a sudden, I was startled but the sound of something running through the woods in my direction and like a flash an albino deer come shooting out of the woods, across the rocks, thru the stream and disappears into the woods on the other side. Hoy fuck, I'd never seen an albino deer before, I mean it was pure white. I was like "Wow, that was awesome". So I reeled in my line, waded out of the stream to where my stringer was and, talk about a buzz kill, there was this HUGE fucking water moccasin making his way towards lunch, which just happened to be my stringer of bass ( that's my story and I'm sticking to it ). I am not a big fan of snakes so I snatched up my stringer and hightailed it downstream ASAP. So I went from euphoria to paranoia in the span of about 3 minutes. Major buzzkill.

I know, right? And some days, it's like the fish just wanna hang out with you and party for awhile because it's seems like they would almost jump on a dry hook just to be with you.

You catch any salmon yet this season bro?
Your in the 530 rite?
Yeah I'm in the 530, I haven't had any luck with salmon this year unfortunately , I've caught some decent bass in some Lakes and ponds though! You're right about the drought, I think it's messing with the fish too! Everything is so damn shallow

Rite on!
I sure do miss the killer largemouth bass fishing I'd get when living close to the delta! Big ol' black bass in the delta! Nothing but mainly smallmouth in this lake I live 15 min from. Still fun though, when i go there by boat! Lol
Totally unfishable from the shore rite now:-(
