Is anyone on here that's in the EV doing small scale grows with cfl?? Like 3 gal pots or smaller? I'm interested in seeing other ppls set ups, training techniques, and yields.

Ill post pics of my own set ups/plants when I can, no Internet at the house and idk how to upload pics on my cell. Using an iPhone 4S if anyone can help me lol

We have done a handful of grows under T5 lighting and averaged about .6-.7gpw. What would you like to know?

The biggest issue on T5 is that you have to keep the plants SUPER close to the lights. Which in turn makes you really need to keep your canopy level, and greatly limits the amount of plants you can fit under an 8 bulb fixture.

Have you ever tried any side lighting??? T5 is my next step I think. What do you vent/filter with??

Which style yields better??
" bigger the roots bigger the fruit "
A bigger plant will always yield more than a small plant. What LV does is run a lot of small plants with short veg times and then flowers all those small plants even though all those small plants didnt yield much ( Called SOG or Sea Of Green) , it ends up adding up because there are so many small plants cramped into a small area versus 5 big plants that barely fit in the grow room. Its more of a style used for commercial growers trying to maximize yield in a short period of time.

Im with Beave, on the big roots big fruits...
SOG is great w/ no plant count concerns or small quarters but the strains you choose play a large role in overall yield.
3.5-4 week veg some growers pull 8oz+ plants vs 1-3 week veg for SOG yielding only 1-3 (maybe 4 w/ practice and the right strain) ounces a plant, its all about personal preference.

Thanks all of you for your reply!!

Another question?! I've read for every month the plant is growing you need a gal pot. So 4 wk veg 8 wk flowering plant should have a 3 gal pot right? Or is that too small still??

The first pic is a mainlined moby dick. It's about 2-3 days into flower after a three day dark period(experiment)

Picture two is the underside of my veg setup. 4-light vanity fixture with y splitters. 23-26 watt 2700-6500k cfls ant that plant is a moby dick that's being LST.

Third pic is my flowering area with 2 Charlie sheen crack plants and that mainlined moby dick.
Any comments or questions welcome!!!

I will donate a 250watt MH for your op mate. (self enclosed magnetic ballast with bulb).. She will be good for vegging them plants out! Was going to post her for sale but don't want the troubles of getting low balled so I will give it away! HA

Growing good medicine starts with the right equipment! IMO
