Trying to stay mostly organic and looking forward to a nice harvest. I have ffof, hf, coco, perlite @1:1. Then I have azomite & lime to add in. For other additive I have recharge and then maxsea bloom & organic molasses... Does this sound complete? Should I add in a little ewc to the mix as a final natural fertilizer? Or anything I missing? Thanks! Looking forward to getting the new w90's for my 2x4!

How many W90's are you putting in your 2x4?

(Edit) and how many plants, and how big are the pots?

I ask because I'm running a 2x4 also... and on the list for W90's...

sweet yeah im pretty excited first grow; going with 2 w90's over four plants in three gallon smart pots. I've got FFOF & FFHF, coco & perlite for my soil. Azomite and Recharge and some organic molasses. 2 NL auto's by Royal Queen and 2 THC Bombs.

I'm in my third run in this closet -- no tent, just built out the closet with reflective material, ventilation, etc. I just started a grow journal about the space which I linked to my sig. If you are interested check it out, and then let me know if you have any other questions. ;)

I ordered a pair of W90s. Right now the closet is running a pair of Optic 120's (with the weaker Vero 18's in them). The W90s might be for another closet, or I might run them with the Optics in this closet. Haven't decided yet.

how do you like the optics?
The jury is still out on that one. I was disappointed to find that the knowledgable folks on this site felt that the usable footprint was significantly less than Optic's advertised footprint (but apparently its the industry standard to lie about that... uh, I mean to be super optimistic about it...). The other side of the coin is that in that space I just ran a bottom of the barrel Mars-Hydro supposedly pulling about 170 watts, and it grew weed. So this (combined) 240w should do much better. My only other disappointment so far is that they run much hotter than I expected.

When this batch is done, I'll be able to speak about them with some actual experience... can't really do that yet.

I don't think anyone has received any of them yet.. I preordered a couple early on and per the website they should get shipped out on the 24th so we will know pretty soon.

And all I'll know is if it feels solid, and looks like it produces a lot of light... (cue the monkey sounds...). Others with equipment can take actual measurements for comparison. From there, it will be several months before I have any personal data on how well they "worked". But if they look weak to me, I won't waste a crop just to know their limits, I'll run them along side other lights to boost the yield...

It seems like the bottom line is that there are DIY lights in use that have been tested and catalogued, that use the same components (possibly with the exception of the reflector). So I think -- in terms of the first pre-orders to ship -- a Vero29 4000k running at a particular wattage is somewhat of a known quantity, no? Isn't that sort of the point of the transparency of components and having all of that information to reference?

Thanks, I'm getting impatient! Haha
I had ordered 16@4000K but received an email about a week ago to see if I wanted any switched to 3000K or 5000K because they were running low on 4000K. I took 8 x 3000K and 8 x 4000K so ill be running a 3500K Kelvin. Pretty excited to say the least.

yeah i ordered two 4k units, then ordered a third but I think they might have run out of the 4000 so i was thinking about putting a 3000 K unit in the middle and my two 4000K's on the end.. is it good to mix up the kelvins in the same tent? are you putting all 16 in the same tent/room?
