Wow, no need to attack this guy. Some people enjoy hunting, as do I. Obviously if there is NO bag limit and NO closed season, then someone felt a need to have some of the coyotes disposed of. Everyone in this thread has bitched about killing animals, but are all of you vegetarians? What do you think kills the cows that cattleherders depend on for a living? Chill out on this guy.

Killing animals for just fun and games is sick... and I don't care who you are, animals that aren't human are entitled to the right to live just as we are. Just because we cannot understand their language and thoughts does not mean they are thoughtless, I am sure they think and act the same way we do, we're all animals. Some people may see this as apples and oranges, but do you want me to run around and kill your family, kids included? Don't think so... but that is what he did here, and for no good reason, just for "sport". I am Native American, you will not change my views, because you are wrong. The only way this would be acceptable is for meat, clothing, tools, or an out of control coyote population that affects the balance of nature.

Socata, no need to change your views because everyone is entitled to their own. The next time a coyote delivers your newspaper, mows a lawn, or buys a gallon of milk, let me know. That's when I will stop hunting. And I DO see it as apples and oranges, because that is EXACTLY what it is. I am just kind of taking up for the guy. I don't condone senseless killing, but I will hunt to provide for myself and my family.

It is not apples and oranges at all... those 3 coyotes were perhaps family, so how is it any different? Animals are not emotionless, they feel every feeling we feel... pain, suffering, heartbreak, even suicidal thoughts. I am fine with hunting to provide for yourself and family, but this sport hunting... it is disturbing.

I shoot turkeys and deer every fall. I end their life, not to survive, but so that I can eat meat. I don't care what you think about it. If you don't like it then you aren't welcome at my house for Thanksgiving.
I also have a shotgun for home defense. I'd kill a human if they were threatening my family and trespassing on my land.
