Any here rented a shop and grew in it?

I guess it would depend o the individual landlord. I'v had landlords that I never saw again after they got the deposit. I'v had landlords that stopped by on a regular basis. I know if I didn't own the building I would be paranoid as a bitch :shock:

It helps to have a shop that makes money,My rates are 100-150 an hour,This past hurricane Ike has assured me plenty of work for the next year or two.I thought i was going to have to spend the winter overseas,now im staying home.

a plus that others have not analysed u culd set up some stealth cameras and motion detectors that somehow alert u if ur property is breached u'd be a step ahead of the feds and get the hell outta the city!!!

smartsoverambition... i work for a security company that installs these systems. i believe i posted somewhere in this thread that i was going to have security and cameras and i told the owner i was going to have this and that i'd need a call if he wanted in. but yeah good idea! i wouldn't have thought of it if i didn't get this job.

I've worked in lots of shops and always did lots of modifications without consent from the landlord / owner. I think it's just par for the course and expected of a majority of shop spaces. I don't think that's near as much of a worry as a lot of people think.
At one shop I worked I got to know the owner of the business next door quite well. He once rented another shop space directly across the parking lot from our shop, set up a big grow and tore it all down when he was done. Explained it by saying he didn't need the extra space after all. He said he would definitely do it again if the opportunity presented itself.

right on spic if all goes well i will be buying my own shop after a few years and run my own business that is guaranteed to do well.

cheaphydroponics.com denied my order so now things are moving even more slowly. going to be paying rent for a few months before i get anything from it. boooo

pics will be up sunday. not sure of what yet... since my poly won't be hear and i can't find in anywhere in town.

So why are things slowing down? How do they "deny" your order?

If "poly" is the only thing your missing there's prolly a different solution, have you figured out your exhaust/odor control yet?

i moved recently and had to get my CC billing address changed. I did, sent them an email when it was changed just like they asked. Next day i get another email saying since i didn't try to change it they were forced to refund me. so i went else where.

it'll be here next week not a problem.

odor won't be a big deal yet since i'm going to flower a small batch up on the loft first just to test things out and i have a carbon filter already.

so odor/exhaust i'm going to have a cool tube running with my 400w hps for the first round of flower and this will be exhausted into the shop. for a small grow like this first one i'll be ok not venting outside. but as for the next one. i will probably run another line of duct work along with the heater duct exhaust. and then intake i'm going to cut a hole in the front wall and just make it look like another heater exhaust, have it come in a ways with ducting and prolly just have it a passive intake.

i just got bigbud cause i'm tryin to make some cash to expand this grow. thing sucked up all my money fast.

anyway put in a full days work today... here are some pics... i didn't finish but almost.

also how long can seeds stay in a papertowel after they have sprouted? will the make it a couple days?
