As I sure there are more on here than me, I was going to ask. I'm a cinematography major in college and was wondering if any one else on here was, or already working in the industry. Just trying to get a fellow smokers views on stuff. ANd maybe talk about lighting setups. for scenes.... or growing. And talk about any thing film related. Any one seen the new red one cams coming out? interchangeable parts...should be bad ass.

Right now i have a sony dcr sr80, and i use adobe premier pro., but it kind of sux imo. What about you what programs you use. If you have experience with premier pro, i'd appreciate info on what plug ins to get.

Well any camera that records to a type of memory drive that is not high def is going to suck(as far as consumer cams). i have a cheaper consumer camera, that im sure gets better defintion than yours. it records to mini dv though a Cannon GS 320, only 3.1 megapixels on still recording, but shots a nice picture.. but the one I have been using in school is a friends. A cannon XL1. But we use Final Cut Pro and Final Cut (damn forgot the name, but is newest verizon). I dont have any experience with adobe. Its pretty expensive. But is really good.

got some pics on grow journal if you want to check them out.

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/133150-random-dank-seeds-400-w.html

but ill ask some friends about the adobe pro, see if any one knows. im sure some one will.

Those are nice pics, what strain is that? My camera can record in hd, it also has a hard drive built into so i down load directly to my comp, but it is not what i want just cant afford better now. Yeah the program was expensive, but i got a discount cuz i took an editing class. I will have to check out final pro.

It can record in HD? I googled it and looked at the specs said it just records to mpeg Standard definition. is yours a upgraded version? If not, it is only SD which in mpeg just doesnt look as good as SD mini dv. which you only need a firewire cable to dump to a computer. and most new ones have a hook up for fire wire. Yea final cut is really nice, takes awhile to learn it though.

As far as the strains we got some seeds from a guy who was not sure of which was which. Just that og kush, bubble gum and purple power plant. think its all og kush and bubble gum. this pic is my fav. the bud is a little bigger. i cut it off some. but is some og kush i think. the other plants, have some nice little purple spots on them. cant wait.

Man editing is so tedious, i like aspects of it. just not the whole thing. takes so long. Im looking to go into the cinematography only. I just want to be on the technical side of things.

i know what you mean 100% Editing can be awesome and fun if the project is fun (SFX, time lapse) but can be boring as hell if your just editing lame text and cuts/transitions

I like it though because i can take a pretty poorly made video and with some neat techniques, make it a whole lot better and it feels great to do that :)

Long time reader, first time poster.

I'm planning to go into a local film school after this year. I've been a huge fan of film since ever, and I've been recording and editing copies of the school's plays and dance recitals since freshman year. In fact, this year, I'm writing and filming a half-hour movie. It's crazy trippy.

For editing, I use Adobe Premiere (it was given to me) and Adobe After Effects. I've fallen head over heels in love with editing footage. I love tedious work like that. There's nothing better than smoking a bowl and sitting down. I can focus so well then.

nice man. half hour movie should be a fun amount of filming. over this last summer the film department at my school shot a feature film (they do every summer, my first feature). we filmed on principle photography for a little over a month. was a short movie. i think is going to be around 77 mins. but was alot of fun. i learned alot. good luck on yours. im trying to shoot a stop animation skit of my own over the break between semesters for me. about 3-10 mins long.
