Any experienced growers know if its safe to move plant outside on sunny days?

It's coming into summer and we have had a few nice sunny days.
You can't beat the sun when it comes to light right?
Is it safe to move a plant from under the lights (2x130w CFL) to outside under the light of the sun? Would this benefit my plant or just stress it out?

Unless you have very hot location directly in the blazing sun, go for it. You plant will definitely prefer direct sun. If it is very strong sunlight, you would want to introduce it gradually, say 4 hours a day until they become acclimated. But it will do your plant no harm, and actually be better for it. Peace

Can you move it back under light when the sun goes down? I just thought on a sunny day they would get more light being outside for most of the day then back under the cfls during the evening and night. Cuts cost on bills too!

i always grow at night inside and A.M. put them in the sun. if you're plant has been inside for a while take caution putting it outside to prevent sunburn. GL

For any medical use I highly recommend you do not do so as you do risk a lot to pests, contaminants, pollens, etc. More importantly is that if your plant is an indoor plant from germ or clone it is used to a certain spectrum of light and grows to absorb and process that light creating leafs meant for a certain type of light. I have switched the spectrum on plants before (indoor), resulting in many initial foliage death replaced with new leaves, never placed indoors outside, I have done the reverse. An hour or so at a time and gradually might be fine as far as sunburn goes, still would not do it myself.

I have noticed some very isolated sudden death of parts of leaves. They went orange?
I won't move it outside again. It's hot and the electricity is occasionally turning off.
