Any experienced grower tips?

Why in the world are you trying to setup tent city in your new house. 8 tents!!! thats nuts. Just build rooms, or use bigger tents.

You 100% need co2 if you want to max out genetic potential of a strain.

Dont expect anything special out of your first run. Focus on dialing in the environment and learning about how the strain you have feeds and what it likes, make adjustments. Next run do better.
When u say build rooms how does that work? I might just get bigger tents tho. Ur right all together I was thinking the same thing it's just so hard to find a post when u Google what I wrote so I haven't got answers back on any of this honestly. Not this exact set up at least. How do u pump co2 most efficiently in a room? Just a generator? Any pointers

Be humble.. there's only so much research you can look at. You'll be surprised how difficult and easy growing can be. The first grow you will be hesitant.. you will look at them for hours a day.. you will question your every move which leads to more research. It won't be easy pesie. Good for you that you're one of the few that took months to read before diving in. You seem to have everything you'll need for a successful grow. Don't set high goals for your first grow. More than likely you won't hit 10+p's. Not saying you can't or won't.. that's a hard thing to do when you haven't seen the plant growing under your care. Be humble, learn and get in there!
Loved ur reply. It's like everything I expect from it . Related completely

You are getting way too far ahead of yourself.

Start small. A closet, or a tent or two. Begin with just a couple of plants. Do a full grow or two, then you'll naturally learn how you want to expand.

Starting off with thousands of dollars worth of equipment is ridiculous. Half of that stuff will likely sit on shelves before your first grow is even over. There's a good possibility also that by biting off more than you can chew, you'll just throw in the towel, and all of the equipment will be useless.

You're asking very basic questions here that someone wanting to set up a 10 pound grow shouldn't have to ask. You're unfamiliar with setting up a grow room, and you're no where near the point of even thinking about CO2.

Prioritize. Start with just the very basics, and get familiar with them. Then start adding stuff as you realize you need or want it.

Where are you planning to put all these tents? Is this in a basement, bedrooms the garage? What is the space you have available for the grow? Are you renting or buying the house? When i say build rooms, i mean just that, build rooms from scratch, or convert the full spare rooms into grow setups.

There is not really a good way to get and keep 1500ppm of co2 in a tent.

I put 8 tents and put this post simply because one day just like u said I want to grow with co2 and go big as I was talking about. I'm probably in reality going to do just what u said couple tents not necessarily as many as I was saying right out the gate . All I'm doing right now is getting as much answers as I can right now so later on down the road I can always come back here not ask the same questions later on . Y'all are helping me now not later on I'm just working smarter that's all. I agree with u completely . I'm just as serious about it as I was saying in my post so all advice about anything would help tremendously whether it's 8 tents 2 tents 4 tents. Thank u tho

I'm planning on using 2 bedrooms fully dedicated to growing. I wish I knew exactly what the measurements would be but in a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms and I'm renting

This is the trouble.

you’re gonna get brain fried and then still run into new issues anyway when that time comes.

True . Like yea im have to read all way back over all these responses over few days to remember everything and even when I start growing . I was happy with the first 5 some responses I just gave everyone the courtesy of responding and I had genuine questions for them but yea im good I've heard what I needed to hear pretty much this is my 2nd post I don't plan on making anymore until I start growing to keep y'all updated . Anything else between now and then I could probably google normally and get an answer. I thank all of u tho

First off, I'm no pro only a handful of harvests under my belt.
But I found solo cups are too tippy, and fall over easily and are a pia to move around on trays.
Go square pots from the plant nursery.
I'm liking 3x3" and 4-5" tall that I have now.
Solo never again

Since its a rental, the landlord prolly wont appreciate you destroying the bedrooms. So get tents that take up most of your bedrooms space. 8x8 or w/e. you wont need a 1:1 footprint for veg/flower so leave yourself some space in the veg room to hold a water res, a worktable etc..

Then focus on controlling the environment. Once you think you have it under control, start popping seeds. Veg them out until they show their sex. Killl the males. Clone all the females and flower them out. Keep a close eye on them and figure out how many different pheno's you have and which one you like best. Harvest the females and keep the flowers separate. Try all of the dried flower to decide which one is the best. If the one with the best flower was also vigorous when you grew it. Its a keeper. Clone the female you had of this pheno and kill the rest. Now run a monocrop of the 1 chosen female. If yeilds are not what you expected, keep popping seeds and repeating this process until you find something that thrives in your space.

All my seeds will be feminized. I'm not familiar with cloning or anything like that. I'll have to research more about cloning

Forget everything I said.

Get 1 4x4 tent. with 1 light. and do a full run using this single tent and 4 plants. You will figure out the details of things as you start running into issues. It sounds like you are trying to go 0-100. Set yourself up for success. You have no idea how devastating it is when you have a full room of something that all gets fucked up. Too much time/money/effort invested. Start small and slow.

Good point. This why I came here to ask questions. Any tips I'll take. I'm now wondering if u think a couple window seal air conditioners would do the trick? And if I still run into problems with heat should I open windows to clear the hot air out every now and then. Unless u know of a better way to run this set up without heat problems. I feel like I could definitely figure something out. I preshiate u running that by me. I need to research where to ventilate all that hot air out at a constant rate
This thread has exploded since i last looked at it but figure each 1000w light needs 4000 btu of cooling to be safe. The biggest window shakers cool a max of 12000 btu. So one bigass window unit cools 3 lights. But then you have the times of year where its say 45-55f outside. Ac units do NOT like running when the outside temp is below 60 and start to burn up the compressor really fast. Some people try to push the air outside..... that works fine if its under 75 degrees outside. But if its say 90 outside and your pushing the heat from inside outside, then you have the issue that any air you push out of the building must be replaced with outside air coming in so no matter how much air you move, your pulling 90 degree air in and cooking everything. As far as i can tell, the only good way to run smaller grows is that if your doing it in the summer, keep it really small so you dont need crazy amounts of AC. Otherwise, just go big in the winter when its cold outside and you can use the lights to heat whatever building your in. Like if i ran 4 1000w lights in my basement (2 on from midnight to noon and two noon to midnight) those lights would basically heat my house all the way down to maybe 0f. After that i might need to close the windows and turn the furnace on lol.

I think y'all are right when y'all say start with soil I'm probably definitely gonna switch my medium to soil . I know I'm going to be good about defoliation and watering , i know better to not tweak out on those things . I'm going to buy a soil moisture tester . When u say small containers are u saying my original plan going from red solo cup to 3 gallon to 5 gallon isnt a good idea? Should I start smaller than 3 gallon or what? Just making sure. I'm glad you pointed out there are some amazing growers here cause I definitely could use that. I'll definitely be asking questions along the way. Thank u and anyone else so much
Yes soil is much easier for a new grower. Coco is more for when you are running known clones that you know how they will act and exactly what food they will want.

And go solo cup (or similar) to 1 or 1.5 gallon to 5 gallon.

Wow. Ok everyone is being super nice. Honestly there is like 1% chance your are going to succeed. It’s like....I have never driven a car. I have read a ton on how to drive a car so I think I can drive a tractor trailer across country. You need to grow a single tent well then you can think about expanding. Way too much too fast. Slow your roll man.

Also doing this in a rental...not exactly smart but you can maybe get away with it. More importantly what is the neighbor situation because I can almost guarantee the smell is going to be unmanageable. I’m not to even going to get into the amount of heat your gonna be producing. But thats what ac is for right?? Just a few more watts what’s the difference. Which leads us to probably the biggest issue no one has brought up. What is the power situation? Rental (or any house) most likely is going to be 15amp breakers for the outlets and unless you have 8 breakers attached to those two rooms you ain’t running a huge grow. Most likely there are maybe 2 breakers and you don’t want to run them full bore all the time (a 1k light uses 8.3amp itself). So you can do more than 2 lights if you do a dance with when they are in and off.

I’m not trying to be a dick here but you are not well thought out...and I wouldn’t expect you to have a good plan because you have like 0 experience. You don’t even know the issues your gonna run into. Humidity issues, pest issues, sound, neighbors, power, smell, heat, venting, water issues, leaks, protecting floors, thieves, landlord inspection and just the sheer amount of work it takes even when you have your grow dialed in. You want to do allllllll of that with no simple grows under your belt.
