Any danger in harvesting a branch early?

My plant is 37 days into flower. Is there any harm in chopping off a branch that has some small buds that won't get that big anyways off? Will this cause any harm to the remainder of the plant?

I realize this is short sided but this plant has had issues from day one. I've got Greenhouse - White Widow femed seeds coming and this current plant has pretty much been practice for me. I now know not to use MG soil, invest in fox farm nutes, and improve ventilation.

i cant see why not...some people do harvest some buds before others if they are flowering quicker.

Depends on what u mean by early. Typically, the buds harvested are not harvested 'early' but as they mature, usually from the top down. Sounds like u wanna take some premies off, which, is fine as well except the smoke won't be as good as it would be if u let it grow, no matter how small they are. Assuming u know this alread, chop away if u must.

Cool.. thanks for the tip. I just chopped a branch off. I'm already expecting the smoke to be not that great. This plant has been cursed from the start and the buds aren't swelling up too much to begin with. The vast majority of the pistils have even changed red/brown already.

ignore pistil color. My last grow had nearly zero red/amber hairs, yet people are praising the hell out of it.

Your buds will start to swell in another week or so. Your plants are probably right around the time they stop growing, so the energy will shift to buds.

Right, pistil color is really of no concern. What ur lookin for is the trichomes to mature to.... well, whatever u want, from the couch lock, up to 50% or more amber, to the go-to-work high, 100% cloudy.

I sure hope you're right. As of right now all the buds are still pretty small. The biggest one is obviously the cola and its a little smaller than my fist. Considering it's NL#5 x Big Bud it's pretty disappointing. I'll actually be very happy if I'm kicking myself for cutting the branch a week or so from now because the rest of the buds are exploding.
