so its been raining the last couple of days here and i guess its driven some ants inside the house and they are everywhere and a few have even made it into my grow room. do ants cause problems for plants? and if so what the hell am i supposed to do with ants in my grow room?

Ants won't hurt your grow at all...they are just annoying and will sometime get stuck to your flowering plants...but they don't hurt anything...if anything else I would think that ants would be a better pest to have as they don't hurt the plants...unless you are farther south and have fire ants...then it is no bueno...fine for the plants, but not for you...if fire ants decided your plant is a good place to live they would no longer allow you or anything else to get near the plant...but common odiferous house ants are no problem...pick up an ant a squish it...if it has like a weird fruit pesticide smell then you have harmless odiferous house ants...and again no issue...I guess if you lived in the rainforest, carpenter and army ants could probably wreck mj in no time...since they like to cut out parts of leaf matter...but unless you are in florida, SC, or Texas, or the Amazon then you should be alright...long answer...for a truly short answer...sorry.

thanks everyone. i ended up surrounding my plants with like a mote of cinnamon and its working the ants wont go over the cinnamon. im gonna try the dish soap on where they are coming from.
