ants

so i just did a massive transplant, and found two of my planters riddled with ants.. how do i kill em? i figure i have them from too much sugar in the feed, and too much remaining in the drip trays.. but what do i do to kill em and keep them gone?

Well, you can work it in reverse. Cut back on the sweets for your plants and pour the sugars "near" the plant but not on it.....they will move.

it seems like its a colony tho.. was thinking neem, but not entir5ely sure if thats enough

You can go to the garden store and buy almost any ant killer....it will tell you on the label it is safe for plants....it's used all the time in vegetable gardens.

yep-honey, sugar-that will get them off+neemoil or regular soap water.

Theres a product called terro I found this works fairly well with ant control. Its ingredients are Borax and Sugar water wich you could easily make. THe ants feed on the sugar water and die from the borax. Usually they go back to there home and take shits. The other ants feed on there feces and die as well from the poisoned feces. I usually put bait traps around my plants. Im sure neem oil with some soap will kill off the infestation but then to help prevent another you can bait them. Good Luck
