Ants killed my plants!!!

these damn ants or termites i dunno what they are are killing my plants they already killed my bigest plant which was 10 ft.!!!!!! i am so pissed they are workin on other ones too i didnt know what was wrong a couple of my plants started dyin an i didnt know why until i pulled one to find a nest of ants at the very base of my plant they made a nest and looked like they were eating into my stalk at the base!!!! how do i kill these bastards before they kill all my plants????!!!

Wow, I've never heard of any ant other than the Leaf Cutter doing damage to healthy plants.

haha seriously??!!! that sucks dude!! are they just eating at your roots or actually climbing the stalk and munching on leaves?? I have never heard of this, def no plant eating ants in cali thats for sure haha maybe some neem oil or something organic?? maybe you planted on top of an ant hill and they are just pissed at you!

were they white termite ants looking., they eat the base of the plant and kill the plant. they go from plant to plant chopping each one down.

I would find a way to smoke the fuckers to death!!

lol yea man they are ants they are defintly not termites i guess because its been so dry around here an the soil where the plants has moisture the ants have decied to make a nest at the very bottom of the stalk and root and are eating away at my stalk killing my plants i put this roach killer stuff around and at the base of my plant and watered it hopefully the boric acid in it dosent kill my plants.... but its etheir that or the ants defintly will because they have already kill 3.... does anyone know it roach killer will kill my plants??? the brand is HOT SHOTZ roach killer powder

I have huge monsters plantz outdoor .. other day i saw a ant make hole and got in plants stem .. then died within 24 house soo bummed

To get rid of most of the ants, use cotton balls infused with mint, camphor, tansy or clove oil.

You can also use moth balls, but they really smell to high heaven.

Just place them around your grow area and that will have a very good effect.

It also masks that smell of your grow if you're into that kind of thing.

Diatomaceous Earth will get rid of them without harming your plants.

Dolomite will lower acidity in soil.

i got the same problem man. i have to wake up in the night and check the plant with a torch and then start killing ants. my plant just germinated though or is still in the process depends on how u look at it.
