Another watering question...

If I'm watering my plants 2-3 times a day, can I do just ph water w/ calmag in the morning and then add my nutes an do regular feeding later in the day or do I absolutely need nutrients every watering? In a soiless peat coco mix.

Currently I've only been watering once about 3pm everyday. Just figured maybe I could water them in the morning with just calmag phed with no runoff, and around 3pm hit them with regular watering with nutes and 20-30% runoff. Thanks guys!!

Always water with nutes.:-|
I'm just gonna keep watering the way I am once a day. I was gonna give them a little extra in the morning but I'm not even gonna do it. No one can give me a straight answer tbh. Like water with nutrients everytime?? What don't lower the ppm? So what lol 1.4 ec multiple times a day? That's not gonna over feed the plant? Do you split the nutrients between each watering if it's more than once a day? If my plants are in perfect condition from the 1.2-1.4 ec everyday then what would watering with a little water PhD with cal mag in the morning do? Especially if they get the same ec at 3pm. I'm not trying to be a smartass lol I'm really not, but between here and microgrowery I feel like there's a lot of idiots. Just looking for clarity for once. The plants are doing great right now, if it's not broke don't fix it right? They just seem pretty dry by 3pm. It's all these idiots talking on here about how they gotta water 2-3 times a day, then the idiots on microgrowery saying that's too much water everyday that's even got me asking the question. Not trying to rant man, being totally serious, and curious.

why you gotta call us idiots tho?
Also man... I've never disrespected anyone on any of these forums. I have gotten some good help on both here and micro, but most of the time it seems like a bunch of idiots that know everything but don't wanna give out their secrets, and tell you Google Google, like bruh I did Google and here I am. It's quite annoying, but it's all good. That's the internet. I respect the people who actually help. Sometimes one might just want to chop it up and run ideas off others, maybe clarify some of the things they do read on. Maybe something more current than 2011, or from 2008. It's all good either way.

You can do that, but it's not optimal. Best best is to set up an automated system. I'm not sure if mixing coco and peat is a good idea. I'd just stick to coco with multiple feedings a day automated from a res you refill once or twice a week.

I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm doing until they show me they need more. I asked only out of curiosity. I thought it would help them jumpstart the day that is all. It was a dumb idea I guess.

It wasn't an insult. I'm not understanding how these people you think are idiots, yet also hold great knowledge and secrets at the same time.
Ok you got me there.
I wasn't 100% being sarcastic but sort of was, lots of folks blowing smoke on their knowledge.

OK, well you keep doing it then, but like I said, it's not optimal. Automating your water system will both give you happier plants, and also reduce your workload.

I definitely want some sort of autowatering. You're misunderstanding me. I should have said I'm gonna keep doing this the rest of this grow. I definitely want some sort of auto system but wouldn't that screw up my roots this late into flowering?
It's a lot of work everyday to water these things I'll agree. Between mixing seperate nutes for each plant, hand watering daily is a huge hassle, but it's my first indoor grow, and first time with a coco mix. I completely underestimated a lot of things, but I'm 3/4 way through this grow and my plants are doing great. I love the idea of auto watering but I'm not there yet. I thought you meant me watering in the morning without nutes, and then at 3pm with the nutes was the not optimal part. I misunderstood there. Yeah I agree this is not optimal now. It's really kicking my ass. I was looking at the hempy bucket info for my next grow, but then though about trying this coco/peat soiless again and try to perfect it first. I'm not trying to sound like a know it all dick or anything man, really. I love to learn so I can take criticism. Appreciate the input.

I don't see how an auto watering system would screw up your roots. I just use straight coco or a coco/perlite mix and use a simple drip feed auto water system, and feed 4x a day. Mine is super simple DIY style. I use regular drip emitters (pressure compensating for even flow) from 1/4" tube using T's and such to put 4 emitters per plant. I use a 285 GPH aquarium pump on a timer in a 18-gal res for 2 to 4 plants. I also have two other 120GPH circulation pumps going 24/7 in the res to keep nutes mixed.
