Another Simple Compost Tea Recipe

Golly St0w and Nullis......I can agree with both of you on what your saying.....I tend to like a more fungal side tea for late veg and bloom but I also use it as my wetting agent when I build my soil - I like a fungal side heard......I always use some Dr Earth's Alfalfa Meal in my AACT 's.....I NEVER add Kelp of any kind to a simple AACT for bio's......Kelp can reduce the bio counts by as much as 30%, depending on the amount used. The point being is that Kelp is powerful bio inhibitor! (While I don't have a 20K microscope - I do my own counts too {I too am a farmer st0w - we use teas here also....we spent the $ and have a Vortex for our 3 farm co-op}).

I have do it yourself 5g "vortex" style brewers for my grows "on topic"......If you have to use a pail system - try 3 stones or better yet go to the "ring" stone and run as much air as you can afford to buy in an air pump......The more the better!

In one way I don't understand the 2 way opinions on Bio vs nute tea.......I understand it like this.
st0w = AACT bio teas are for the living bio's and adding other ingr. for nutrition will lower counts!

Yup, it will.....I can see the value of separate brewing habits.....but,,,,,

Nullis = Why change the starting AACT formula when doing a nutritional tea? How about just adding the nutrient of your choice and having some available living bio's in the mix at the end?

Yup, I see the thought train here too......In fact, that's what I do when upping the game to a nutrient tea! Why not get some living bio's.....These do seem to be more on the fungal side for the most part by scoped observation.....

The only real advice I have at this point for the OP is to SKIP the "layering" proposed by "Sub" or the "Rev" and mix together all the ingr. they list as the layers and this makes for a good start a water/tea growing run.....

I run a variation (sort of) on the Rev's mix - no layering and water with the same use of an AACT as st0w and a cpl of minor Nutrient tea feedings at the flip and at week 4 -5 and 7-8 on ten week runs (Nothing ever goes 8 weeks or everything runs longer then breeder reports by 1-2 weeks anyway).
