You folks who think you want to grow for a sick person, or a co-op, this happened around the corner from me (actually a ways away) and is an inherit danger to those who have too much company, or can't keep their own secret, and get license to grow. IMO, it takes some maturity, along with a plan.

Archived Story Police impersonators rob medical marijuana grower
Oct. 31

COLUMBIA FALLS (AP) - Authorities are searching for three men who impersonated federal drug agents to rob a medical marijuana growing operation in the Columbia Falls area.

Flathead County Undersheriff Pete Wingert says the men, impersonating U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents, entered a home about 2 p.m. Sunday and used zip-ties to restrain the 30-year-old man and 39-year-old woman inside.

The victims told investigators the men had black vests with the word “Police” stenciled on the back and were armed with semi-automatic handguns. They flashed what appeared to be some type of badge or credentials.
Wingert says the three men spent about 10 minutes on the property and left with 27 mature marijuana plants, more than $1,000 in cash, a rifle and a derringer pistol."

Pretty cool, eh.

as sad as these stories are, at least the grower wasn't thrown in jail, and it is somewhat humorous.
