Another Question!

Are there any foliars that are proven to prevent nute burn?

^ someone told me that if i use that as a foliar i will never get nute burn even if i "nute the fuck out of my plants" was his direct quote. but its rather pricey i dont wanna go buying something like that just off what one dude says. any input or experience that can shine a light on this ?

are there foliars that help with the prevention of nute burn, are there fool proof methods of reviving a plant with a deficiency? just out of curiosity.. i have a plant i've been battling back and forth with different issues. its the only one out of the 5 that has had problems like this. 4 of my plants are AK-49 and one is Blimburn CR+. the one i described happens to be one of the ak - 49's . it appears to maybe have weaker genetics and that might be the problem or it could be something i'm doing wrong..

in any case, i need to get this problem settled and taken care of. its driving me nuts. i'm considering hitting it with a P-K booster today, and 2-3 mL of Revive by Advanced nutes. it says to mix it in with ur current feeding to correct deficiencies. truthfully i think they just gave me a liter of water and earthworm castings. but who knows, we'll see if it works.

Honestly I think feeding less would be the only fool-proof prevention for nute burn lol...Foliar feeding can supplement nutes that are deficient and temporarily help w/ an issue but I don't believe it's an all around solution. To get to the 'root' of your problem you wanna..u know - provide what's needed to the roots rather than the foliage.

I definitely feel your frustration - Deficiencies are the one thing I've been struggling w/ understanding when it comes to MJ cultivation...I don't see how people can differentiate an actual deficiency in their medium from a deficiency caused by lockout, and then diagnose it. It seems like people get steered in the wrong direction when they post a question about a deficient plant and get 20 different answers, making it even more confusing.

feel free to diagnose away. this is whats going on. it spread a little bit before i backed off the nutes. i'm thinking it has something to do with nitrogen abundance, the front right plant is dark green, factual signs of nitrogen abundance so i backed off the nitrogen, but it seems the 2 on the far left took to the abundance differently and began to yellow some leaves instead, appearing as nute burn. so i really dont know whats going on, but they "appear" healthy, they are perky, they are continuing to grow, everyday i have to stretch the nodes farther to fit the screen so they are in the stretch of flowering like they should be,

my biggest worry is the yellowing will get worse as i continue to feed. we'll see what happens. for the past week i've used no nutes, only water as a light flushing method to get them ready for flowering nutes considering they are already having issues i dont wanna cause any further stress or problems. someone said it could be im not getting enough light penetration to that plant but my 1000w Super HPS is raised about 25 inches above the canopies, and only 1 plant is heavily affected by this so idk how that could be possible, but i dont wanna rule anything out by any means.

any advice is appreciated.

The back left plant is the heaviest affected and is my biggest worry. the rest seem to be doing okay. they are all 5 healthy and are going to make it to the end i have no doubt in my mind. i just wana prevent this from happening in the future because they look like hell and i've been losing sleep over this shit cause when my babies get stressed i get stressed. these bitches are like my kids bro.

They really don't look too bad to me TBH. Even on the one in the back left - it's only on lower leaves from what I can see.. I'd hate to give you bad advice so I really don't want to try and diagnose it, but I can tell ya that my girls had similar stuff going on only on the lower leaves and they pulled through all the way to harvest just fine...I didn't do anything to treat it, just kept on w/ my normal feeding regiment and after the lower leaves died off all the new growth appeared to be fine.

Yeah your plants look fuckin great, I agree with Ayr0n, I've had some big fan leaves go out and still pull out a decent harvest, I don't think its heat, could be cal-mag issue if all of your plants are displaying similar signs. I've attached a diagnostic tool I find helpful.

So i ended up taking my clones today. and i took the back plant out to get better pictures and to remove some nodes for the clones and to take off some of the yellow leaves, simply because its in the corner of the tent with my bigass scrog net in the way its a bitch to get back in there so i took it out of the tent to snap pics and shit. also it was dark time. when i was in there foolin around i think i accidentally supercropped one of the nodes on the nitrogen abundant plant in the front right because i tapped the net and the node was real stiff and its got a crease where it almost tore off from the stalk. im not worried about it though, it will fix itself it didnt pull the node all the way off is why im not worried at all, though it was a top cola. i will take pictures of the snapped cola tomorrow when i have lights on and its had some time to show recovery signs on the node.

but i did take pictures for a further diagnosis on whats going on behind the scenes so to speak

okay so basically the first 3 pics are from the "problem plant" shes thriving but has some nasty yellow fan leaves and the leaves of the colas are starting to curl upward as if they are having problems with respiration or perspiring.

the last pic is a snapshot of all the nodes i cut off from 5 diff plants to take clones today. i took ten cuttings, but i only really only need 6 of them to root, anything else is extra benefit


Then i gave all 5 girls 1/2 gallon of water mixed with 1/4 teaspoon of 0-39-25 bud blood PK booster. We'll see how they react within the next couple of days.. i need to go get some more cal mag.

PS: thanks for the compliment. im a bit of a newbbb. i do what i can to make the babies grow but sometimes i fuck up and make rookie mistakes, like snapping the top cola of my nitrogen abundant plant.

Also, should i leave the dome on even tho its bending the cuttings over and one is sticking out of the air hole, should i check on the cuttings? should i just leave them be and come back in a week to check for roots? should i mist the dome or take the dome off since the cuttings are taller than the dome..?

When you get leaves yellowing at the bottom it's a deficiency. When your new growth shows nute burn it's excess. When you get nute burn and you've stopped feeding it's because it's trapped in your medium. If you are feeding and showing deffs you have lockout which will be a salt buildup or a ph issue.

Clones and seedlings should be hardened off after a few days by lifting the dome a little

Your pics...... Your leaves look like tacos which means they're too hot Heat stress can stop the intake of nutes by causing a lockout and stunt growth. Your plant will not be healthy in that condition. That's why you are getting problems. You will find it easier to diagnose issues when you rule out variables. Temp should be 25c for optimum growth. RH should be 60-70% in veg and gradually lower 10% each week of flower until 30%. Ph at 5.5 - 6.2. When you have this you then know you have a deff or an abundance.

temps at there hottest might hit 81 fahrenheit and humidity stays above 55% in the tent. my temps generally are 75 fahrenheit. i will snap some more pics in an hour and a half when i turn the light back on, also i will grab a pic of the node that snapped today while i was in there, i think it will recover but i will get a second opinion tonight.

folier feeding is the way to go, a little food with every watering 1/4 strength mix, folier feed then just plain water the next time . it's not foolproof by a long shot, but up untill your budz start, and p, k not used by the plant is stored for flowering.

its a weed, that should tell you all uyou need to know
