Another first grow post!

This is my first time ever growing. I got my medical card and started right in after reading a few books and getting advice from some friends in the know.

The room was an old kitchenette connected to my bedroom. After about 50 hours of work I got it emptied, sterilized, partitioned the room and set up my lights. I had about 1/3rd of what I have now at the start.

In my Veg room I have florescent of unknown specs. In my flowering room I have a 600w HPS Hortilux (sp?). For the walls I have some reflective surface that the brand escapes me (that was one of the hardest parts to do, making sure it wasn't wrinkled and had as little issues as possible).

Started all with bagseeds. I want to start cloning, but I have a clone dome and my friend borrowed it and has not given it back yet :(

So far every seed I have popped in have turned out to be females. Two of the smaller plants already presexed in multiple spots as female.

I use about 75% recommended nutes, going through the ones in the pic for specific parts of harvest.

I brew wine in the back corner in a milk jug also for CO2.

I have only done these plants int he photos so far and have not gotten a harvest yet.

I will stop back in every now and then and update!

Hope you like my plants!DSCF0031.jpgDSCF0018.jpgDSCF0046.jpgDSCF0028.jpgDSCF0043.jpgDSCF0042.jpgDSCF0007.jpgDSCF0015.jpgDSCF0005.jpgDSCF0020.jpgDSCF0021.jpgDSCF0036.jpgDSCF0013.jpgDSCF0025.jpgDSCF0006.jpgDSCF0030.jpgDSCF0035.jpgDSCF0004.jpgDSCF0003.jpgDSCF0027.jpgDSCF0040.jpgDSCF0024.jpgDSCF0019.jpgDSCF0038.jpgDSCF0016.jpgDSCF0034.jpgDSCF0033.jpgDSCF0009.jpgDSCF0023.jpgDSCF0039.jpgDSCF0029.jpgDSCF0011.jpgDSCF0037.jpgDSCF0008.jpgDSCF0032.jpgDSCF0002.jpgDSCF0014.jpgDSCF0044.jpgDSCF0026.jpgDSCF0001.jpgDSCF0010.jpgDSCF0017.jpgDSCF0045.jpgDSCF0022.jpgDSCF0041.jpg

Oh yeah, if it looks cramped, its because it is. They ended up growing to tall and I had to bend the crap out of them to help fix it.

Dont worry about a wrickel in the mylar to much. I have a fan blowing on mine just so i dont get a hot spot.
Looks good. Get some clones man. Keep the genes alive. Build a small easy cheap aerocloner and let your friend keep the dome.

It's almost bigger than my room. I don't know if you can see it well but just about all of them are bent a shit ton at the top to keep them under my lights. One top was perfectly lined up to tape the top in front of the exaust hole from the light so it could get plenty of light from the side of the light. That's the only reason I know they are 7 feet tall, since 3 of the 4 are bent way over. Not to mention I broke several of there tops trying to bend them over. They got a little stunted but are all bounced back now and shoulnd't hurt the end product to much, since they were growing over the light anyway and getting very little light over all.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure thats my first rep :D I still don't know how you tell a persons rep score :X

I plan to this time around. I had thought of so many things, but I never once thought "man, what if they are to tall for my room?" I really panicked when I saw what was going on. My tallest one near the end of veg was groing a solid 4 inches a day lol. My big issue was I switched them into 5-gallon containers way to late and felt I should give them a week to recover before putting them into veg. Int hat week they grew about a foot and a half ><

Here to update! The flowers seem to be coming along nicely, we are about 2 and a half to 3 weeks in, I know I should know exactly, but I am not smart enough to keep a grow journal. I just got some new lights, but they are huge and wont fit in my veg room, but I intend to get at least one more flc for my veg room, since it looks like they are staying there for a few more weeks. and I can see some signs of lack of light on the lower leaves. I am pretty sure they are an indica, all of them except for the one with the like sided leaves, which has super skinny leaves. If anyone has a better idea on what any of my plants are, I would love to know!

The new lights I got are these 4 or 5 foot flc work light things. They were free and actually came with two full spectrum grow bulbs. I forgot to take pics, but will update with some of them in a bit. I want to put them on the walls of my flowering room but am worried about them burning my plants since they are touching the walls on most sides/areas within the flowering room. I am also not sure as how to mount them. I could duct tape them to the walls, but it would ruin my reflective surface if in the future I decide to move them. Any ideas on that would also be awesome! I am on a strict budget until after my first plants are done. Not because I am selling them, which I am not, but just timing with how I get paid.

Thanks!DSCF0006.jpgDSCF0021.jpgDSCF0016.jpgDSCF0026.jpgDSCF0025.jpgDSCF0012.jpgDSCF0020.jpgDSCF0005.jpgDSCF0011.jpgDSCF0003.jpgDSCF0001.jpgDSCF0024.jpgDSCF0015.jpgDSCF0019.jpgDSCF0002.jpgDSCF0010.jpgDSCF0014.jpgDSCF0023.jpgDSCF0009.jpgDSCF0018.jpgDSCF0022.jpgDSCF0008.jpgDSCF0017.jpgDSCF0007.jpgDSCF0004.jpgDSCF0013.jpg

Looks like someone has a full grow room!haha I only have 4 plants under my 600w in the tent because I got the tent like after 2 months of veg on my own personal plant, then I drove to my friends house is Colorado and he just gave us 3 plants!

I noticed you don't have a fan blowing on ur plants.. The bud willnget too heavy and you plants will start to bend over so start looking to stake the bitches up!

I do have a fan blowing on my plants, its actually a really nice one (I'm borrowing it from my friend) It looks nothing like a fan though, its a kinda tower thing, but pushes out like a wall of air instead of streams. In my veg room I have a really nice fan that goes in every direction, but I was missing a piece fr it when I was putting my plants into flower so I had to use a different fan. Then my original flowering fan broke so I had to barrow my roommates. Now my $60 fan is laying on its side pushing air onto my veg plants. Once school starts and I get my overage, the first thing I am getting is a fan. But thanks for the input though! It is great advice! I do need a bit more air for my flowering room still though. The fan when they were small made them nice and strong, so theya re still holding up well, but it doesnt really cover them anymore at the tops. The stems are overly thick at this point though. I'm not selling it, so I'm not going to be pissed off when I fins a stem the size of my pinky in the colas lol.

I still need to post my new light, but I work soon and have been kinda busy.

Nice.. I don't have a fan in my tent unfortunately so I have them staked... But my ATF has a thick stock because it had a fan on it before we got the tent

The bottom of the stems on the one in the back left is over an inch in diameter :X It's kinda scary over all, its like having a small forest in my room! :D I will take pics and post them in about an hour. I am still trying to LST some of them into place. I am a little worried, there is about 2-3 inches between some of the buds and the glass on the light. It seems like its only slightly warm all the way up until touching the glass, then the glass seems to be to hot. I have a feeling they are going to grow that 3 inches long before theya re done flowering. The issue though is to get to some of the branches to tie them down is a little difficult :X I don't wanna mess with them to much, especially the nice buds but they are behind a wall of bud :(( I like that there is a wal of bud, don't get me wrong, but I am worried I will mess up my wall of bud by pushing.messing with them, to get to the ther buds and tie them down. Then again, the buds I would tie down are already looking really nice. So there is my dilemma :(

Here is the update. I added my big flc light into my veg room because I don't have room on my timer in the flowering room, but my veg room had space. I figured that I shouldn't waste it and just threw it in. I plan on adding it to my flowering room as soon as I get another timer though. My flowering rooms plants are loosing bottom leaves like its a joke! It kinda is lol! I don't see it as a huge issue currently. I will have it settled on my next grow. As soon as these ones are done, I'm gonna stick the veg'ing ones into 5gal buckets and throw them into flower (after like 3-4 days for them to rest up and settle from transplant shock). Still need to do clones, but no avail on the friend with my dome :'( So far, 2 of the vegging plants are def female. The medium sized indica and the sativa are both female. The other two, I'm not sure, but I can feel they are females, I really believe. Even so, 6/8 on females from bagseed is pretty decent, at least I think it is? What are your (anyone reading) experience with % of normal seeds ending up female?

So, I had an amazing idea while working on my prison wine for CO2. I read that it is heavier than air and it wont help at all when low compared to the plants. Mine has been on the ground level this entire time :X lol. What I realized though is that my lights fan is also located on the ground. My idea was to place the wine, like 6 inches infront of the fan! :D Now the CO2 will be forced up into the canopy! :D I realized everyone reading this is probably like "Duh!" but it feels like a great achievment in my stoner book, so I felt I should add it on here, encase anyone is actually reading this/keeping up with it. (sorry, my right click isnt working again and some things are spelled wrong)

I planted 6 seeds in my grow just for fun with my big plants and they were all female! But then one grew hermy and it polinated my plants! So now my bud has seed :'( but it still looks good and smells good..

Do you rotate your plants?

And dont worry about the dying leafs.. Its because the plants are just putting all their energy into pushing out the buds..

Ouch! I havent found any issues with hermies yet. I have my vegging plants in there own partition and check them every like 3-6 hours. I'm compulsive lol.

Do you have a grow with pics?

I used to! Then they got 7 feet tall and I became to worried about breaking leaves and branches, then mainly buds. I stopped after like 5 days in flowering. Before that, every single day. I spend way to much time on all of my plants :X Before I started brewing prison wine for CO2, I would sit in there for like 1-2 hours everyday just chilling/working on them. I even wrote a post in another section about the power of being nice to your plants lol.

I think its also because they are getting like no light lol. The top blots out like 90% of the light from the bottom lol.

Looks good mate, though getting you light as close to you plants as you can without burning is great, and you have done this, but I would raise it up a bit (or get another light) so you get more spread for the other plants that aren't so close to the light.
