Despite flushing and rescue attempts. I am down to my last plant. When I came in the other day, I had to trash my obviously brown, dead, and decaying plant. The last one seem to be holding on for life (see pic). I have stopped all nutes and been watering it every 3-4 days with plain water. I will gradually introduce nutes, after I see some more growth. My plant is so tiny for going on 6 weeks now. It has been transplanted for only 5 days. I have heard they kinda get stunted in growth for a minute when being transplanted into a bigger pot. So I am watiting for signs of growth. Otherwise I am givng light for 100 watt equivalant CFL's about 18 hours each day. Is there anything else I can do to strengthen my last chance at a usuable winter crop?

Forgot pics sorry. You can see from the first pic it looks nice green and healthy from the top. The other two pics show the yellowing of the bottom leaves. The only thing I can think of is that I overdosed the nutes. I used Shultz 10-15-10 twice at full dosage of seven drops to a quart of water. I watered with this dosage twice 4 days inbetween. Then the two plants started to yellow and one never recovered! So important lesson learned! I am scared to introduce nutes again but will consider 1/3 strength next watering. Do you think I should wait longer on the nutes? This plant is 6 weeks and soooooo tiny. I have flushed with plain water twice and no nutes since signs of damage. I was thinking of using 1/3 nutes on the next watering, and alternating with plain water then nute water thereafter. However the leaves are still yellowinsh on the bottom. Maybe I should flush with plain water a couple more times (only done this twice so far).

well just to start.

you need more light.

alot more light, think closer to 100-300watts ACTUAL, per plant, and thats just the low end.

are you using the right spectrum for veg??

have you done a water soil ph test??

i use cfl's too, and ive got about 3700 lumens per 10sq inches just for veg.and ive got closer to 5700 for flower

but then thats in the mini cab with mirrored walls.

the leaves curling down like that usually means most the light is hitting it from the side, and needs more to hit it from directly overhead.

Well I dont know much about light. I have painted the grow closet with flat white paint all around. I have four of those 27 watt CFL's that are supposed to be equivalant to 100 watt bulbs. Two are bright white spectrum the other two are daylight. I have them hanging just overtop of the plant (about 1 to2 inches).

that ought to be pretty good. im in about the same stage you are, maybe a little earlier than you(1st grow). ive got two 27watt cfls that are 6500K, a nice blue light for vegging, and soon im about to get a y splitter and add my other 2 cfls that are 2700K that are equivalent to 150 watts(i forget the actual voltage). i think you should be ok with that set-up. how big are you trying to get the plant to be? are your cfls tilted horizontally? cause i think thats the best way for a cfl light to give off light.
i think you might be right saying that you did overdose on the nutes. im no expert by any means, but that would be my guess.

Yes the plant is almost back to one hundred percent. Nice and green. I am going to start with 1/3 nutes now and alternate with plain watering.
