An Update of My Grow (Males or Females)

:joint:Hey Guys (and Girls),

Its been a while since I have updated those who have helped me in the past, so here is where I stand. I also have a few questions and comments.

Let me first start by saying I am now on day 7 of flowering. :cry:Unfortunatly I strongly believe one of my two plants is male, check out the pic, you tell me. I also transplanted today into 3gal pot. You will notice the male suspect is still in a 1gal pot. For the last week or so I have noticed a few roots coming from the top, but not the bottom. I thought because I planted in those decomposing jiffy pots some of the roots were going up, wrong. I was completely root bound. That is my fault, and I knew I was past due.

I wanted to make two comments before asking my question. First I found a lady bug the other day in my grow box. My box is in our geust room, in our apt, and the box is sealed. I have no idea how it got in there, or how it is survivng but.. Cool. Secondly I use bat guano, and for those of you who also use it I realized something. I have been paying $7.95 from the hydro store for a pound of guano. I went to the Department of Forestry the other day and they had a giant bat-house. I noticed a huge pile of composted poop underneath (no longer hot), and filled up TWO 5-gal buckets of free guano. I would definatly recommend this to any of you!:blsmoke: I mixed 1/2 a cup into my soil today when I transplanted. :hump:

Now for the rest. Below I have attached a couple pics. One is the before transplant, the other is after (notice no signs of stress, must be lucky). Also I have a picture of my nodes.
*****QUESTION: I am 98% positive the one is male, but the other, I can't tell at all. Can you guys please give me your input? I have no idea about the other. And before I get rid of the male, is there ANYTHING usefull to do with it? I use to just transplant them out in the woods.

As always I thank all of you for your input. I take your advice seriously. Take it easy, be smart, and have fun!:peace:

Guys,
Thank you. I can only hope that the first pic is still female. I will dispose of the male and watch the other. In the past my females generally look like this before they send out the hair. BUT, I have been tricked in the past. Again, thanks.

PS: I'm hoping its not too big of a deal as I have met an old timer who utilizes an outdoor SoG, and said she would give me a couple clones every so often. :peace:

Just so everyone knows, whenever I find out the fate of the currently unknown plant, I will reply to this post instead of creating a new thread. Thanks:peace:

M8, if that other plant of yours turns out female ,

If it was mines id use it as a mother and trim it bold for clones then flower the chola just from it ,And then you,d have lots of baby clones growing getting ready for the next cloning cycle .

Just an idea man .. goodluck.

Again thanks guys.

Shoot2kill,
While I am a "rookie veteran" to growing, I have never tried to clone, so I'm, a little nervous. Also I have read in these threads you shouldn't clone when flowering. Are you saying that if it turns out to be female, turn the cycle back to 18/6, clone it for a couple weeks, then flower the whole lot of them? Just to clarify. Thanks Again

Cheetah, You always seem to have my back man, thanks!

Just as soon as it shows Female, if it is, take clones. No need to turn back to 18/6. Cloneing has been good for me 100% success rate with peat pellets, rooting hormone powder and humidity dome. They usually sprout roots and can go to soil in 5-7days.

Man cloning is so easy ,
You will look back and realize, Its only when your plant is Heavy into flowering it becomes a little longer to root! not harder ,

Slice your clones in a angle put it in your soil, rock wool what ever , Then just keep them nice an moist, lights on constant , And in 3 - 15 days they will have rooted ,

Have a look in the FAQ These plants do most of the work for us man ... peaceeeeeee shoot

You can plant the boy in a field to make hash or oil. The other one looks male to me too but I could be wrong. You can clone a plant just over a week into flowering, I've done it... Here's a pic of a propagator I made out of a 5 gal bucket and a 75w cfl. It works great. It keeps the humidity in and doesn't give to much light. If clones get to much light they will try to grow instead of trying to form roots. I mist them 2 times a day. In 3 weeks I take them out and put them under T5 HO bulbs.

Its 5 0'clock,

Great idea with the bucket!!!!! I am definatly going to do that!

Shoot2Kill,

You know what, why not?!!? Its worth a try right?!?! And, if it turns out female (I REALLY hope so) then I have that much more budda. I geuss I need to get on the ball now then. Also I have a few stems that havent done anything but branch and leaf so I could use that.

**** AS FOR THE SEX OF THE PLANT ******

You guys are awsome, but at times it IS hard to tell (my situation). However when I logged in just now, on the front page, I looked at Tahoe's gallery and the picture he posted of his early female looks JUST like mine. I am HOPING that I have a girl.

Again, Thanks Guys, I appreciate your advice, and I take it seriously. :peace:

Hey Everyone,

She's lady, whoa whoa whoa, she's a lady.

Thought you would like the update. I was about to cut her down(becasue I thought her preflowers looked kinda male, but it was one instead of a cluster.) then I noticed a few white hairs at the top. Now its all starting to pop out. So I took shoot2kills advice and cloned 3 1 1/2"-2" stems (and a leaf as an experiment). I also bought Botanicare's Organic Ferts (Pure Blend Fruit & Flowering, and Liquid Karma). Also bought the microscope (30x). I will post some pictures to show ou the set-up.
