Weed was close to legalization in the 70's. For all of the troubles which afflict every decades, the 70's were pretty nice. Although I can't say there was any fashion sense....

they add sulphur and a few other conditioners to automotive nitrous. i get medical grade in tanks though

Yes, they add additives to auto nitrous. Now maybe my tank had additives, but this was around 80-81 and I never noticed any difference. I also used to work at a vet supply business and yes somehow the nitrous tanks leaked a bit each night.... Finally the boss declared the valves defective and sent them back...
Anyone remember whippets? I couldn't tell you how many hundreds I did. Used to be able to walk into "barefoot mailman" and buy them by the case.
And then the inevitable lip burn....

i actually order medical grade "whippets" of the net. i get 'em for $.40 each when i get 400 at a time. i take 'em to parties and put 2 in a balloon for $4....talk about a profit margin!
if you had sulphered gas you would definetly know. you get that 100th balloon feeling on your first one.

Have you ever tried it at a Dentists office? I haven't but it seems like the way to go!
Slik do you remember a pipe called the buzz bomb growing up? I met a fellow who had one and it was a double barreled pipe, sort of like an over&under shotgun arrangement. The whippet went into the bottom chamber and had a valve which forced it under the bowl and to your lips creating a draw. Of course it super smoothed the smoke out with low temps and the high was spectacular. I always regretted not getting one and can not even find a reference to it anywhere. I'm guessing it was outlawed long ago....

yeah, i can get dentist gas by the tank. chicago loves nitrous right now, its a goldmine. i get 20# tanks for $140 and get about 200 or so $5 balloons out of it. me and my friends do about 100 of them of course, but its still quite a business venture.
you mean like a combination bowl/nitrous cracker? sounds devastating.
