well guys need too know about a charger i have aquired

imput 240 ~ 50hz

output 5v-60ma Dc/ 10v-60ma Dc

now on the back of my fan its says

12v- 0.48amp Dc

can i hook the fan upto the 10v-60ma and run the fan safely and without overheating the charger ?

how does one convert Amps into MA ? i can add pic from mobile phone if needed but is not very good quality.

thank you

1 ampere = 1000 milliamperes
so your fan draws .48 amps at 12 volts DC and your charger puts out 60 mA at 10 volts
lowering the voltage will increase the amperage draw and since the 60 mA is nowhere near the .48 amps you need at 12 volts im gonna say the charger will last a few seconds tops if it even turns the fan
60 milliamperes = 0.06 amperes
.48 amperes = 480 milliamperes
your best bet is to buy a 12 dollar cpu power supply a 350 watt generic will run a pile of PC fans

i heat heat issues and in a very small cab. i already done a few PC power supply mods :-P. but this grow requires external power source and i have not got the needed extension cabling too have a 5m cord from psu too grow area.

9v pp3 batterys x2 dont run 1x 9cm 1x 8cm 2x 6cm fans for very long at all :(

i realy need too learn more about electronics and how too jump up volts/current safely from low volt batterys.
