Last year, and before, I saw some Canadian members absolutely shred the Atlanta Thrashers, saying they were the absolute worst, even after becoming Chicago-South. But as soon as the Atlanta Thrashers were going to move to Winnipeg, and since the move, the very same Canadian members of the sites have bragged about how great the renamed Atlanta Thrashers are and how they will make it into the playoffs and maybe even win Lord Stanley's Cup.
It shows a tremendous national bias on the part of some Canadians since the Winnipeg Jets did not make wholesale changes that greatly improved the old Atlanta Thrashers. It is still the Atlanta Thrashers team that the same Canadians said were the worst in the NHL, until they became a Canadian team and then they suddenly magically and mystically transformed into almost guaranteed champions.
That doesn't make any sense whatsoever, unless I missed that you meant it was purely a national bias that caused some Canadians to suddenly praise the very same team that they had previously said was the worst, just because the team moved from Atlanta to Winnipeg.

Same happens here in Colorado, we used to talk trash about the Quebec Nordiques .... then they came to Colorado and became the best team ever (except for the Bruins).. the Colorado Avalanche
