Amber trichomes already?!?! Not filled out - should I harvest?

:joint::joint::joint:SO I have two dream queens (origins haze and cindy 99 I believe, an indica dominant hybrid) I'm a few days from five weeks. Apparently they are a quick-finish strain, so I was expecting 2-3 weeks left, but yesterday I noticed 20% amber.

It seems really early for this, as my colas are not filled in and still producing new white pistils, but I have heard hazes have a tendency to amber-up early. Maybe this is pure haze only? What is going on here? Should I use my intuition and take into account multiple factors of what I have read is indicative of maturity, or should I harvest really soon, because of my changing trichs?

I'm concerned about pulling too late, and ending up with more CBD than I want. Was hoping to harvest at like 25% but at this rate....

Sorry not the best pics as they are from last week.IMG_3285.jpgIMG_3289.jpg

if i see amber i cut. After all that work i will not take a chance on weak weed.I do not care what color the hairs are as the trikes are what puts the smile on your face.I have the opposet problem of yours as my hairs will be 100% red for 2 to 3 weaks before the color of the tri,s start to change.Wife wants to cut then so i take away her snips, lol. No expert but thats what works for me.

If you see clear [which I do] you will have MJ with no THC or CBD... so please stay focused.... WAIT.... the hairs have not started to recede ... those colas are shining white.... have patience.... you'll thank us later...if you have slightly burnt tips you might see some amber, which because they are burnt will give you a false sense of ready.... wait...wait...
Good Luck!

chopping a few days away from 5 weeks on a sat dom (leaves suggest sat dom not indie dom) is gonna make you really unhappy..most sats go 77+ days some even 100 days..check at least midway on the plant for trich color..

i went by trichomes on my first grow, every one since then i just let the plant tell me when it is ready. fading to yellow, red receded hairs, swollen calyxs, growth stopping and lack of drinking are just some of the other signs you should look for. all strains behave differently but most should do these things before they are fully done.

you really are concentrating too much on the small details and are missing the bigger picture.

in my opinion those plants are a long way from being done and you will miss out on the majority of the terpene/ cannabinoid production if you cut now.

by the way i think the plants look nice overall but please don't cut them for at least 2 weeks. there are a lot of things that can happen in the environment to make trichomes go amber, unless they are all milky and turning amber i would say just ignore them and look at the overall plant.

Great advice.... OP.... Listen Up ! You want a great plant ? Wait a few weeks.... you want a plant that tastes green, lacks a kick, and is very mild? Pull your 70 day plant at 35 days... it's not even half done.... Good Luck!

Thank you this is what i wanted to hear. To just go by tricomes which some swear by is missing the picture in this scenario...

IMO.... Trics are always used when and after the hairs have receded, and the bud growth stalls, and the calyx are swollen beyond belief....
Then I check the Trics for color.... if the time has arrived and it's close to the advertised done date....
