Amazon cob/leds?

Hey, someone asked about the phlizon cree cob lights??? I will let you know... I have 2 of the 3000w cob from phlizon showing up tomorrow hopefully I will have a video on my tube channel. And insta will have pics. Gonna do a grow journal on there in an 8x8x8. Gonna compare 2 or 3 kinds of lights too i think.

The link for my youtube is in my bio on instagram @cannabisconcentration and if nor on instagram search unboxing half pound of bud from wccannabis that should give it to you. There are a bunch if rosin videos and press videos as well as unboxings

I am 8 weeks into my first grow and was seriously considering getting that Philzon Cree COB light.
But after doing a lot of reading I came to the conclusion that for $200 <which is what I had too> I got a Hydrocrunch 315w CMH with the Phillip's Pro 3200k bulb with 2 hangers/timer included for $180 on Ebay and I couldn't be happier. Had it a week now and get great 3x3 coverage and could easily flower a 4x4.

CMH is more proven than LED, has a lot less heat than HPS and unless you have deep pockets or can build one yourself <still NOT CHEAP> LED just isn't a risk I'd take on $200 dollars.

My 2 cents anyways...

I had purchased the 1200 phlizon cob/led a week after starting this thread but barely set it up two days ago to start flowering; it’s being used over a bathtub that I have filled with 6 girls and also had bought a 315 cmh with 3100k bulb that I am using in a separate room for 8 girls with 1 288qb board on each side of my cmh so 2 in total of boards... the phlizon is covering a 2.5x4.5/5ft and the cmh and boards covering a 3x6.5/7ft (no tents)
So far I’m hitting week 4 flower with cmh& boards and the results look awesome so far! I’ve never had a problem with weight of buds pulling down stems but it’s happening now with this set up I like it so far. (I paid about 150 for 315 cmh and 250 for(2) 288qbs w/ driver... I wish I would of just bought two cmh and would have saved 100$
As with the phlizon I can’t give any input because I barely set it up and flipped light two days ago
But I paid 170 for the 1200 watt

simple answer you get what you pay for, have fun losing out on yield and quality every grow

It will be fine...I use 2-1500w King and 2-1200w philzon on a 10' x 10' with excellent results. These people are trying to justify why they threw away $thousands$...lol. Light source is only a part of the equation, and Amazon lights are fine if all a person has. Good Luck...

Just don't try and light up more than 1m x 1m and it should do fine.

So your saying your lighting up a 10x10 ft space with 940w? With no other lighting?

How many crops have you flowered with that?

That would be the about the actual usage, and yes there are no other lights. I have to leave for work or I would post some pics. Keep distance correct and use good dirt and such. I have grown some super funk with an 85w fluorescent in a box lined with foil. Remember plants adapt and light is only one part of the equation :)

btw...have grown 50+years and 2 with the LEDs. Just moved indoors a few years back and started with lighting from my photo studio which worked fine.

I would say they are about equivalent but the phlizon being cheaper though that’s just my opinion on the brightness of light from my eye view no specs
