am i useing enough wattage?

am running about 800 watts , hps/mv/floros /and fans combine how much power can i use without sending up a red flag for the power company to be alerted ?

You should be fine...save some $ and replace house bulbs with cfls if you havent already.

I run more watts than that.

yeah i just unplug appliances when not in use and switched all the incandescents to cfl. 20 here and there adds up in a whole house to like 400 or so watts/

im just trying to figure out how much i can use cuz i dont think mine are getting enough light might just be me eye get use to the brightness or somthing but i think my buds would be bigger and fuller if they had a 400 watt hps instead of 210 over 3 plants(plants are only 25" tall)

210 you say? what light with which wattage? for 3 plants id say at least a 400w HPS/MH but why not get the 600w? much more light intensity with those. and not too much electricity.

i got 1 70 watt bulb over each plant of hps for my budding section and 310 watts of mv over 3 plants and 160 4 foot floros over my starts and mother plant i want to add more wattage to it all like 2 400 watt hps for the bud room and 1 400 watts mh for the veg room but i dont want P,U.D getting the hint

ever thought about t-5s? about the wattage of a 250 and as good as a 400w HPS

im not familar with t-5s what kinda light are they cfl or HID?

um...flouro. put out like 20,000 lumen for a 4' 4 bulb fixture and are ab the price of a 600w HPS setup. but they help with heat issues and like i said they use less wattage. most recommend this for SCROG, SOG and LST grows since the lights must be close to the canopy

ah ok well i dont have any heat issues and i prefer the HID lights i have just seen better crops off them my main consern is just how much can i use without suspision

well, a rise of 50 bucks worth wont be that bag at all. id say when its over 100 it gets more noticeable. dont be like this asshole and throw 8 600wers and 1 1000wer into his apartment.

yeah that would be a bit extream well if i get the lights i want id be running about 1300watts and that would be sufficent for my grow cuz i only flower about 3 to 6 plants at a time and have 4 to 6 plants in veg

supposedly they work great. ill probably pick one up soon for my clones and vegging mothers. htgsupply.com has the 4x4 for like 130 or so. not too shabby.

ok i did the math on this one and for my set up now is 302 KW per month on an average 3000kw per month with no growso now i suppose im not useing shit for power
the set up i am planning on buy will run 576 KW per monthwitch is still a fraction of your bill and thats running 800watt HPS and 400 watt MH plus fans pretty good set up for most growers so think about the numbers when your setting up your grow hope this help you all
